Can a Fig Leaf cover the carcass of an Elephant?

So MCMC has decided to block off Sarawak Report. The website is now inaccessible. It is the reaction of the muscled Jock against the brain. The government thinks might is right. They will be proven wrong in the end. In the fight between brawn and brain, brain wins in the end.
It says it is doing that to ensure stability.  That will only invite the cynical question of whose stability?

It will only cause people to seek access through alternative ISPs. It is not up to the government to define what affects stability in this age of digital democracy. Instability requires action not definition.

We are not under threat of foreign invasion. The only invasion that we are now suffering from is the invasion of illegal immigrants which the government is allowing. The government’s inaction is glaringly visible.

We are not besieged by internal disorders unless the government stands idle and let anarchic elements in the country assault the peace that we have.
I am surprised the police are almost handling the people spreading rumours about the Lowyat incidents with kid’s glove when we expect sterner action to be taken. Preachers and instigators of hate crimes ought to be locked up for extended periods.

Having allowed Sarawak Report to report on alleged wrongdoings for so long, it is now not opened to the government to block it.

Can’t the government offer alternative believable narrative and counters?

We all know the reason why it can’t. The only reason is that the propaganda industry of the government is no match for the social media opponents from the other side.

That move will only intensify the belief that the government of Najib has much to hide. In any case, Sarawak Report now has achieved more believability than the party making futile attempts to discredit it.

The challenge for the defenders of the ruling clique is how to make the consecrated narrative of Najib’s innocence regnant. How to make the story line that Najib is Mr clean and Mr Do-good, stick and drown out the PM’s critics?

Well it is now doing some sort of book keeping.  A political bookkeeping. Najib’s incompetence and perceived wrongdoings are all kept in one column and kept off the official consecrated narrative.
His record during his tenure as defence minister beginning with the submarine purchase, his 2009 hijacking of Terengganu Investment Authority by 1MDB, 1MDB’s willingness to pay RM1 million for TIA and paying RM500 million to Jho Low for his consulting work, the dubious and unanswered bond issuance and debt accumulation of up to RM46 billion, the flow of RM2.6 billion into his private accounts, his inability to answer clearly where the money went; all these are kept off the official sacred narrative.

In fact all these failures are used to add to the numinous stature of Najib- which is only believed by his diehard supporters and the malleable minds of unsuspecting Malays.
The best magical description of Najib, is that he is doing all these for race country, religion and King.
We shall expose these measures as what they truly are- fig-leafed denials.  Can a fig leaf cover the carcass of an elephant?

The only reason why Najib is not able to counter Sarawak Report is must be because what SR reported are all true.

And many of the so-called diehard supporters of Najib are actually too scared that they will be caught red-handed with the hands in the cookie jar with Najib.

Some people are feeling very unstable, giddy and might even
faint from fright/tension because of
Sarawak Report and the relentless attacks of the Doctor :)

what ever it is, now i do not believe any single word from najib's mouth...for me he is a big liar...BIG LIAR..

When the only defense they can mount are lies, evasion, hiding the fact, deception, diversion and slander, what else can they do? Shoot the messenger and then claimed the silenced messenger as guilty of sedition and spreading falsehood is what they can do. MCMC are nothing less than a pliant tool of the corrupt government. So it is no surprise that, it willingly and pliantly, obeyed it's master directive. With no moral and no principal, those in the MCMC will do whatever it takes to please it's master.

After all, their livelihood is at stake here. The poor and the hungry have no use for moral and principal. Here in this "negara Islam", moral, integrity and of course Iman or faith has no value whatsoever. Since the beginning, the main religion of UMNO and the government is MONEY and it's GOD is whoever is in control of it. So MCMC along with all other government agency and dept have completely been corrupted. Najib may have had a hand in its corruption but don't forget that it was Mahathir's UMNO who create the abomination that we call "kerajaan Barisan Nasional". In the end, we are all to blame and now we are receiving the penalty for putting a monster in the seat of governments.

Can we get out of this mess? Not very likely if the apathy and denial syndrome still plague the rural malay community. You can drag a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. It would seem that the Malay needs to be as poor as dirt and as destitute as a beggar before it will realize its sorry predicament. Right now, the malays still thinks that by praying, giving alms every Friday and of course pledge its undying loyalty to UMNO will put them in heaven and GOD will bestow upon them riches. Such a misplaced faith. One day not long from now, the malay will wake up to a rude awakening. That's when they realize that placing its undying loyalty to UMNO will not bring the riches nor ensure their place in heaven. "Ahli syurga" are those who have the intelligence and the smart to make the right choice guided by their faith and to act according to the wishes of his religion.

Sadly, most malay don't have the intelligence to understand his own religion and in his ignorance, stupidly thinking that he is doing the right thing and believing that his faith is built upon the right principle when in fact they are lost and has strayed from the guided path. Such a pity because these ignorant people would not listen to any advise no matter how good or how logical that advise may be. Just like the Quran says "they are deaf and dumb and they will never recognize the straight and guided path". And because of that Najib will stay as PM until the time he calls for a GE. Tightened your belt, people! The sea from here on after will be rough and only the strong and the faithful will survive!

You have to admire the woman Claire...charging on in the light of allegations. Our kecut bola politicians can learn a thing or two from her.

Najib is fond of using the law and sometimes self-created laws to hit back against his opponents. Of course, he has a hugh army of unprincipled and position seeking idiots to do his stinking and dirty job for him. We know who they are as you can hear their idiotic arguments on a daily basis.

Najib is now stripped naked and tied to the pole and yet nobody dared to touch him simply because their hands also received the "one for you and one for me" goodies. It is just too bad their leader got exposed.

Anyway, Malaysians is equally responsible for what is happening to the country. It is time to change their die hard habit of voting for thieves in GEs. Our thieves loving Rakyat must learn from their mistakes for once or else the country will be destroyed.

To digress, DAP should consider supporting hudud so that Malaysia can have a world renowned Hudud Museum which will draw millions of tourists from the world. Imagine, the caption...this hand belongs to so and so leader.

The full text email messages between Lester Melayni and Claire really looks like he was "pursuing" her (on his own or via 3rd parties) to incriminate herself. Her honesty shines through her replies, and she's smart enough to sense that he was up to something fishy to get her to admit that her exposes on 1MDB were made up, that she's been trying to "topple" Najib.
Nothing beats the truth, and that's why Lester could not succeed. More eggs on his face and the "black" hand directing him.

Trying to reason out why Putrajaya/MCMC blocked access to SR, and was it because Claire said that she would download the email messages between Lester and herself to prove he was lying? And so she did, and the text messages completely cleared her, but the emails have further tainted Putrajaya/Dahlan and all those UMNO chaps who jumped onto Dahlan's bandwagon to their everlasting regret.

Dato, in MI today, it was reported the remote control system (RCS) spyware that Putrajaya and other governments allegedly purchased from a security vendor enables operators to steal any data from infected devices and even pinpoint the movement of individuals, according to a journalist specialising in government surveillance.

Ryan Gallagher of The Intercept told online podcast Reply All that the spyware allows The Hacking Team's clients to remotely access infected machines and gain full access to whatever data that is kept locally.

Details of dealings between Hacking Team and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and a Malaysian intelligence body by the name of MYMI surfaced after a large scale hack led to a 400GB data dump on July 5 of the online security vendor's internal documents, source codes and email communications.

Lawyers here have said that the use of the spyware was unconstitutional as it violates the right to privacy accorded to Malaysians under Article 5 of the Federal Constitution.

This being the case, Putrajaya, MACC and any authority allegedly purchasing this software have been made vulnerable as any Malaysian citizen can bring suits against them. Who will start the ball rolling ?
