The state of UMNO.

A fan of my blog, e mailed me asking me to write something on Dr Mahathir. I shall politely decline. How could I write on someone who can walk on water? Perhaps I shall wait to get my hands on Barry Wain's book. Then, maybe I shall make some comments.
DR Mahathir was our PM for 22 years. He didn't get there by doing nothing. He deserves all the accolade and respects. Some still regard him as the PM and his issue who is active in politics now, is a reincarnation of Dr M.
As our former PM his role and stature is indisputable. As an UMNO member- I am not interested to talk about Dr Mahathir. I am more senior than him. Dr Mahathir has been a member of the present UMNO since only April last year when he sent his membership form to PM Najib. You can see the smiling faces of his sons and daughters in law in the background. Please remember then, Dr Mahathir is a very junior member of UMNO. He cannot be permitted to use the serial number 1 and 2. Mokhzani too is a very recent member.
Instead let us talk about UMNO. What has UMNO become of late? It has become a gutless and testicle-less party perhaps led also by people of the same description. UMNO has succumbed and capitulated to people who can intimidate it. Hence UMNO molly-coddles and embraces people like Fat Zahrain, Zulkifli Nordin, Fairuz, and the two ADUNs who took 'sedekah' from Chinese prostitutes, Ibrahim Ali and now Ezam Mohd Nor.
Ezam mohd Nor is the person who threatened to divulge the darkest of UMNO's and the BN government's secrets. He had 7 boxes in all. But until today, we have not heard anything. Perhaps the boxes he intimated were the size of Kleenex tissue boxes. Or maybe Ezam has traded the contents of the boxes for this senator ship? He is selected; it is said on account of his oratorical skills and possession of secrets on Anwar Ibrahim.
His oratorical skills did not win him adherents in his old party nor were they sufficient to win PKR a national government. There's only one explanation that I could think of- he has after all very damaging secrets from the boxes, if when exposed, will topple almost all the entire cabinet. On that basis, Ezam is chosen as senator.
But after hearing Ezam many times, I want to know from which university did he get his degree? Did he complete it? I want to know, because I suspect that university didn't impart to him sufficient presence of mind to differentiate between ordinary letters of communications from documents of top-secret by nature. He doesn't know the difference. Hence Anwar's request for some toilet paper may be regarded by Ezam as something of paramount secret significance.
My advice to PKR- put up huge banners, proclaiming its gratitude to UMNO for taking in all these people- the corrupt, the fornicators, the sham man of religion and the riff-raff into UMNO's fold. Place them at some strategic locations. Best of all on top of PWTC. What value can UMNO derive from persons who abandon their struggles in exchange for some expedient reliefs? None, other than injecting into itself, life threatening viruses.

Salam dato,

Yes I agree less-testicles.

Tok,

D one that took d 'sedekah' was not d two Perak Aduns but actually one of the member of the local council.

Anonymous,  2 May 2010 at 21:41

sad isnt it dato?

a receptacle for rubbish. in layman's term UMNO has become DBKL.

Anonymous,  2 May 2010 at 21:44

If Mat Kotak thinks he has many damaging secrets of AI, he must have forgotten to confess to the PM that AI has many secrets that can stab Mat Kotak back anytime.

Wasn't it rumoured that Mat Kotak was so infatuated with Nurul Izzah that one night he wanted to climb over the garden fence because she was not interested in his serenades??

Well spoken by a true, loyal Umno member who wants only the best talents and lofty principles of yesteryears for his party. Certainly NOT a sycophant like those in abundance in today's Umno.

Classic Dato. Your write-ups are simply classic. Cemburu tengok your liners. Mesti tiru sometimes and pass them off as mine. Ha ha.

"Perhaps the boxes he intimated were the size of Kleenex tissue boxes."

"I suspect that university didn't impart to him sufficient presence of mind"

"Hence Anwar's request for some toilet paper may be regarded by Ezam as something of paramount secret significance."

Dato,

I think you are probably nervous looking at future of UMNO especially the coming of GE13....we will not ask you to predict the outcome yet. Even those who are apolitical but want UMNO to lead the Malay have difficulties to rationalize some of the actions taken by UMNO leadership which seems to be illogical and worst destructive to the image of UMNO to general public . You have given examples of that in the last few articles.

My question to you Dato, what are the probable rational in their thinking to pursue such course. Are they (referring to top 2 in UMNO pusat) so consume to be relevant that it clouded their decision making. Or is it perhaps their strategy to preoccupy the Malays with politics that ultimately their have upper hand control in the house of UMNO. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt as they are not stupid as some might want to portray them.

Anonymous,  2 May 2010 at 23:21

Salam Dato'

You said it.. it's getting to the utter disgust of it all...

We were happy for them and always had felt priviledged with them. But they have grown very bold in flaunting wealth and power, getting away with so blatant in the abuse of both. We have found ourselves as among thieves, cheats, the corrupted who corrupts, the untrustworthy who cannot be entrusted, steeped in the culture inventing lies and fitnah, backstabbing without conscience ... they are not and will never be our kith and kin.

Now they are increasing their circle with more of their degenerate kinds and UMNO has become theirs.

Be bold Dato. Lead and start winning back our UMNO!

Dear Dato,

You have put it in the best language that I can ever think of. I fully agree with you on this boy of seven boxes becoming senator..uh..now he has an income!

Thats the price for that 7 boxes I supposed! Let him live with its new cohorts now..we will see later on where this boy will end up.

I am totally sad with the decision to embrace royally people like 2 dollar company Zahrin, silat man Fairuz, lawyer 0r is it liar Zulkifly and Ezam the 7 boxes boy..

Has UMNO become a gabbage collector!

But what can the leaders do other than buying those stooges to play up racial issue in other to get Malay's vote. To me, Malay can be easily influenced by emotion.

I just hope modern Malay can judge with their brain, not their heart.

Ha ha ha very nice, Dato.
Very subtle but cut very deep.

TDM can walk on water ... ouch !

Dont agree about Ibrahim Ali, though ... since UMNO has yet to embrace him. embraced him yet.

I am a big fan of Tun M. But his behaviour towards Umno over the past several years makes me rethink my infatuation.
I think it's time for him to stop condemning hitting at Abdulah Badawi. Every opportunity he gets, the man becomes the brunt of his anger.
At the recent Hulu Selangor by-election, he was allso hitting out at Dollah. I feel Tun M also contributed to BN's poor perfomance in 2008.
Sometimes he behaves like a child. Throwing temper tantrums like quitting Umno and later rejoining, when Dollah is out.
Enough is enough, please Tun M. It tarnish your digity as our great leader. Especially when Dollah is maintaining a dignified silence.

As for Ezam. I am not impressed by him. Sometimes when he talks and you do not see his face, you will think it is Anwar speaking. The voice, nasal twang and the lingo is the carbon-copy of Anwar.

Umno must always remember the saying Sokong Membawa Rebah.

Anonymous,  3 May 2010 at 08:46

Well written piece. Only a party without principles and morality will embrace such riff-raff from the opposition.

But Dato, what would you say about Hee Yit Foong, (DAP elected Adun in Perak) who quit to be BN friendly.
She is condemned by the Chinese Community. Called vicious names. Even called a prostitue.
Her family members are shunned and called in derogatory terms.
On the internet there is a graveyard where she has been buried and visitors are allowed to place their eulogies...condemned as an animal, literally.

I would say she is the most vilified human being in the country.
Today she does not come out in the open. In fact she is hiding (unless when the Assembly is in session).
Now she is a Dato.
What can you say about that?
What value is a Datoship?

Quiet Dispair,

1. TDM bukan sahaja contributed to dismall performance in PRU 2008.

U tak kenal TDM then....

Jika NTR dipilih, might as well he lead BN into 2004 GE.

5. AAB adalah old hand dalam kabinet. surely TDM sudah tahu sejauh mana keupayaan AAB. tapi dia tak ada pilihan lain jika ingin mengelak tsunami berlaku dalam PRU 2004. he took his chance with AAB, hoping that he can pull the string kat belakang.

Kalau NTR- hancus seperti pru 2008.

7. mengapa TDM marah sangat kat AAB? Sebab AAB bila jadi PM, tak ikut skrip asal TDM. 2 orang individu yang TDM marah sangat-sangat. One is AAB.

Youpun tahu ramai orang UMNO marah masa tu.
Yang lucunya ramai orang persoalkan bila Anwar masuk UMNO. Tun M dengan stail selambanya tongue in cheek) berkata AI dah lama masuk UMNO. Bayaran yurannya dibayar oleh bapanya.
Yang I dont understand is why dia marah sangat dengan Dollah. Takkan lah you expect your successor to just implement whatever you left off.
The new PM too has to have a brand of leadership of his own. His own policies.
Kawan itu dah berhenti sebelum masanya atas desakan Tun M and son and Muhyidddin. Apa lagi yang Tun M tak puas hati?
I tertarik dengan your words you tak kenal Tun M then.
I can say that I know him rather well. And he knows me too. I am not a bigshot nor am I a pak pecacainya. Just an Umno ardent lover.

d'enricher 3 May 2010 at 10:32

Dato,

Tulis lagi Dato.

So today Ezam and Palanivel are Senators. Hmm, so laughable. No congrats.
If I am Datuk Rahim Co, I am insulted being a Senator with the likes of senators like the duo.
Sak, you deserve more the senatorship than those two put together.
But your problem is you tak pandai membodek.
You think they like you for your intellect. No siree.
Just like King Ghaz, too smart and they dont like it.
But Sak it's okay. Senators here are rubber stamps unlike in the US where they are respected.
Our Senators are mostly rewards for the vanquished and losers.

Assalammualaikumw bt Dear Dato',

1.What are yo waiting for ? Why are you still in UMNO ?

2.Is this the only vehicle to fight for the rakyat and the country ?

3.Does talking/writing like this will change UMNO for the better ?

4.Or does losing the Federal Goverment is the required tonic for UMNO ?

5.We must move on,move forward without UMNO.....

Thank you.

I setuju dengan pendapat you.
Ayahnya membayar yuran keahlian UMNO."
Sungguh lucu nak justify kemasukan Anwar.
Jadi i faham kenapa dia marah sangat dengan AI. Anak emas telah derhaka kepada bapanya.
Yang I tak faham kenapa berdendam begitu lama kepada Dollah.
Takkan he expects Dollah to accept wholly whatever he did before he left off.
The successor has to have his own brand of politics. His own policies.

I suka dengan ungkapan anda: "You dont know thim then."
I can say that i know him rather well. And he knows me too. I am not a big-shot nor am I kaki pencacainya.
I am just an ardent lover of Umno.

The BN is runninga a reject and recycled shop.
I thought only old newspapers, bottles and plastics can be recycled for future use.
People past their shelf-lives which are toxic if consumed are srill kept.

Not happy because not elected?
Pak Lah and Anwar destroy UMNO but no one day to say openly!
Islam (issue of Halal and Haram) takes one year to formulate by persons who approved this ( Islamic Halal Corp) in the first place!
With two party system, when both are baught by the Zionist, just like Pak Lah and Anwar, Islam and Malays will be gone forever.
NS Najib has to do things that are not conventional to recover from a very very difficult situation.
To openly criticise your own members is akeen to betraying ones friend.
Are a false-flag operation operative?

And while they are at it why not make all those Frogs from PKR Senators and Datoks...After All its not fair that Only Hee is made the Dato'

The Big Question now is how to handle the issue of the MCA Ministers who no longer hold positions in MCA?

It's all Tunggang Terbalik...

Are they senators? Too many senators now nobody knows how many! What about the Allowances??

Quiet Dispair,

sdra kata "I am just an ardent lover of Umno.". saya juga adalah ardent lover of UMNO.

You got to live during that time to appreciate it.

UMNO dan TDM cannot have DSAI to be his opponent masa tu.

3. jadi tindakan TDM membawa masuk DSAI kedalam UMNO masa tu adalah untuk contained pengaruh DSAI sekiranya dibiarkan berada diluar UMNO. Orang kata: keep your enemy close.

4. What happened between TDM dan DSAI semasa dalam UMNO sebenarnya adalah masing-masing saling mengguna satu sama lain untuk kepentingan politik masing-masing dalam UMNO.

5. To say DSAI should be grateful to TDM semasa dalam UMNO or to say DSAI owed TDM sehingga jadi TPM adalah tidak tepat.

I have this strange feeling that come GE13 you are standing on a PR ticket either Federal or state. I guess that from your writtings. You are feeling very frustrated with the shit coming out of BN and can not stand to see this country becoming a banana country. I guess if it is true and you stand federal that will be against Najib and if state you will go against adan and be the next MB of Pahang.

This is all thru objective observation when reading you daily posting. I read between the lines.

Ketua cawangan Umnopun dah terer hidup mereka.
Duit criteria utama.
We can only pray that Umno will be back on track for what it once was.

Mengenai AI, memanglah kehebatannya semasa president Abim tiada tolok-bandignya.
Ada kawan saya yang tergila-gilakannya sampai bercita-cita nak kahwin dengannya cuma mendengar dia bersyarah.
But for me Anwar is just talk, no walk.
I never said AI must be grateful to Tun M and neither did I say Anwar owed Tun M.
But I feel AI had dissapointed Tun M tremedously. Wont you if your beloved son betrayed you? Would you want to accuse your beloved son a sodomiser?
AI is brought in to curb the powers of Musa Hitam and Razaleigh.
For Anwar pucuk dicita ulam mendatang.
So you are right when you said they are both using each other.
