Raub, illegal alienation of land, their uses and illegal logging. Tales by an unknown blogger no 96

1. I thought I am done writing about land illegally cultivated with durian. Not until the sultan of Pahang now says, some 10,500 hectares of land in Raub is cultivated with durian.

2. Just who the f supplied the figures to the sultan? Have them strung by the balls.

3. Didn't the sultan initially said it was 14,400 hectares? Then an NGO fronted by BN people said on top of the 14.5k , there is 5.5k hectare land cultivated with durian. The NGO even bombastically said, it will chase the MP out from Raub.

4. So it was 14. 5 hectares, 5.5k hectares and now 10.5k hectares? Which is which?

5. You people, don't be angry if I asked as awkward questions. In a visit to the sungai Ruan Kelau area, we saw the sultan inspecting felled durian trees. Not pokok hidup.

6. I think, that wouldn't hold in court. When asked by a lawyer worth his salt, the person in the dock will answer, no I saw felled trees, not live durian trees. It would seem the evidence has been destroyed.

7. If I know better, I would impute that the culprits behind the durian trees have destroyed the evidence .

8. It would seem the Raub land office, the pejabat daerah doesn't know head or tail.

9. 14k, 5k and now 10k hectares. It forgot the 1st lie it said. It now falls in the 1st hole it dugs . It's the way of a liar.

10. Ask the land office, how much land are cultivated with durian. How many hectares in mukims Sega, baru talam, teras, dong, ulu dong are actually under durian?

11. I am not going to defend the ah bengs. If it's proven they broke the law, they must be punished appropriately..

12. If they meet up their MP and tell him of his grouses, he must take them up. It's his duty .

13. He cannot condone illegal cultivation but if they tell him they are unreasonably treated , bullied, treated high handedly, racially abused, he needs to look up into these allegations.

14. Are we certain, they are the only ones at fault? As I said earlier, land of this size, cultivated for so long cannot have been going on for so long.

15. It's possible that governmental authorities that allowed this illegal cultivation are severally liable.

16. Punish the ah bengs but punish also the authorities that allowed these transgressions. There may be several.

17. The land office as of now can't even give the sultan a straight figure. 14k, 5k and 10k hectares. If we ask them 10 times, it's likely we get 10 different figures .

18. The NGO must also chase them out of Raub too .

19. Re enter the land under durian, oil palms, vegetables, mining, chicken rearing, goats and cattle, fish ponds, illegal settlements etc

20. If the government sees it fit, torch the vegetable farms, poison the fish, cut down the palm oil trees, cull the chickens goats and cattle, destroy illegal settlements including places of worship .

21. I saw a online news portal saying the sultan as saying, ' bangsa penceroboh ni tak boleh beri muka '. Wow!

22. Immediately I know this is not the language used by the sultan. When I was growing up in pekan and Kuantan( I know the sultan went to St Thomas school , I never hear the sultan ever using foul language to describe his subjects.

23. This business of using foul language and in ' owning' the sultan to achieve their own nefarious objectives must be the work of UMNO and it's UUCL- united UMNO Cyber Liars.

24. Then I saw a portal carrying a report about an ex army man(a born again Muslim wearing a kopiah) saying that we must build army camps on the hills. Those surrounding sungai Ruan and klau.

25. Wrong Tuan, build army or PFF camps surrounding the Raub land office or DFO office. Then shoo(t) whoever give and ask for bribes.

26. I have to ask another often ignored question. What to do, I am an unrepentant cynic .

27. The land, whatever its size , used for whatever economic endeavours, had to be cleared first, right?

28. Which means, the timber trees on the illegally alienated land, had to be cut. Who carted them off?

29. Could it then be, the extracted timber from the illegally alienated land be one of the sources of illegal logging that is rampant in pahang for many years?

30. If you sit at the warungs by the Raub district mosque, you can see a steady stream of lorries transporting the balak. Then you can speculate how many authorities are involved in the transportation of the logs .

31. The people who illegally alienated the same, never mind their race are definitely in the wrong . Take the appropriate legal actions on them.

32. But don't worsen the wrong by embellishing and augmenting it .

33. The district forestry office ought to know when the trees were cut. They ought to know even the types of timber and their value. They ought to know when the trees are to be taken out. Not doing what they are supposed to do is a dereliction of their duty.

34. The jpj is also responsible. They are the ones who set safety standards of transport and set the maximum safety load.

35. The municipal council is also responsible. They ensure the lorries are clean and the tyres don't dirty the roads.

36. The police in setting up road blocks should detain these lorries if they are in effect transporting contraband goods.

37. The logs are probably stored in some clandestine sawmills along the Raub lipis or raub bentong roads or in bentong or in other places .

38. It took some acts of nature in the form of serious flooding in west pahang to expose the shenanigans that were going on. Suddenly some people in bentong woke up to see logs strewn in their front yards

39. The carcass of an elephant cannot be covered by tiny leaves. A single wrong has mutated into several other wrongs.

40. This business of illegal logging has piqued my interest. Especially when I heard an ex tv3 editor is sued by the pahang government . Is the pahang government protecting wrongdoers and punishing conscientious rakyat?

41. I shall write about this illegal logging in Malay in my entirely all Malay blog. It's coming out soon!

Raub durian issue. More than something that meets the eye. Tales by an unknown blogger. No 91

1. We know the following. Some 14,000 plus hectares of land in Raub alone has been illegally cultivated. Raub alone or whole of Pahang? At 2. 47 acres to the hectares, thats around 35,000 acres.

2. If one Felda scheme is 5k acres, that's equivalent to 7 Felda schemes.

3. How could government land, the size of 5 Felda schemes cultivated illegally went on unnoticed by the Raub land office or relevant authorities?

4. On top of that, some 5k hectares plus of forest reserve were also illegally cultivated. That's about 13k acres .

5. Again we asked , how can land that size be worked on, unnoticed?

6. By the way, the MP for Raub is Chow Yu Hui, not Chow Koon Yew , ok? We don't want UMNO cyber mercenaries get confused, yes .

7. If you want to jerk, do it properly.

8. There's more than something that meets the eye. Sure, the sultan of Pahang spoke on this, twice. Some said murka.

9. Sure, his displeasure must surely be directed to the ah beng who grew musang king and other specie of durians

10. But it must also be true that his displeasure must also be directed at the government authorities for allowing such illegality to go on for a long time

11. Whether for durian, palm oil, fish ponds, poultry rearing, goat and cattle, mining, rubber etc, don't care destroy and exterminate semua

12. Destroy also illegal settlements , suraus, toh peh Kong and temples. Kill!

13. Not sure if MPs sit in mesyuarat penyelesaian tanah or not, ADUNS certainly do as land is a state matter. Why wasn't this land issue raised?

14. Yes, since 2013, Raub parliament has been under DAPig.

15. But the state government, under whose purview land matters are vested, has always been under UMNO.

16. So the people who are directly responsible for the Raub land is the government of Wan Rushdi and the Raub land office and other state departments.

17. Other departments include dfo, ptg, pejabat haiwan maybe, kerajaan tempatan and so on. Nothing involving the MP. 18. Some people's racist undertones are clearly evident, forgetting the fact that the state government is UMNO and the enforcement officers, are malays.

18. Total land area involved plus the encroached forest reserve is 20k hectares or around 50k acres or the size of say 10 felda schemes . That's 5000 people.

19. In theory, according to MACC and transparency international, the corruption worth of a person is 1600 per head, for 5000 people, protection money is 5000x 1600.

20. That's 8.0m a year . Mana itu Wang pigi?

21. If you stop all the lies, I will not say the truth.

22. Land area totaling that of 9 to 10 Felda schemes couldn't have happened without the complicity and conspiracy of government people .

23. The MB in particular, who has absolute control over land matters, has been negligent in this case.

24. So the harsh measures proposed against the many ah beng( there were many) should also be applied to the responsible government officials. The MB included. Ya kan?

The durian growers in Raub. A different view. Tales by an unknown blogger. No 86 .

1. There is a public lynching state of mind about the durian cultivation on government land in Raub.

2. Almost all, save Kadir Jasin are saying, these Chinese growers deserved it. It's kill, baby kill.

3. Most of these opinion shapers , I suspect are just armchair analysts and critics . Throwing Molotov cocktail of opinions in the dark. To flare up the issue.

4. At least Kadir Jasin has been in Raub. I met him when I was campaigning in Raub.

5. The arguments for repossession of the land varied. They ranged from the swashbuckling types to the ones put up by self righteous eco warriors.

6. Some of these people are saying, take the lands back, the lands do not belong to the Chinese durian growers nor do they belonged to their grandfathers.

7. The Chinese growers are defiant, uncouth and disrespectful trespassers. Charge them and destroy their handiwork.

8. I will let you on a little secret. Illegal economic enterprises have been done and continue to be done by ALL races in Raub.

9. Chinese grow durians and oil palms. Hey the malays are doing the same; grow durians oil palms , vegetables and so on. They opened up ponds , rear free range chickens, rear cattle and goats.

10. Kelantaneses built settlements on government lands, opened up lands to grow durians, vegetables, bunga kantan and so on. They even built suraus on government land.

11. So if like what a little Napoleon of a Pahang official said, the government has got rights over its land -converted by slant eyed ah bengs, including the rights to cut down lulian trees, do the same to ALL.

12. Yes, cut down the durian trees but cut down too palm oil trees planted by malays in ulu atok, jeram besu, kampungs Gali, dong and ulu dong, in durian sebatang, jelu etc. burn all the vegetables. cull the chickens, goats and cows reared on government land, poison the fishes, bulldoze the illegal and non titled dwellings and most heroic of all, raze the suraus built illegally on government land.

13. So, open your bloody cow dung mouth and then see, what's supposed to come out from the rear end now comes out from the mouth!

14. Burn baby burn. Destroy baby destroy.

15. The self righteous eco warriors - who and what are they? Are they people who embrace trees and whisper sweet nothings to trees? Sheesh!

16. The only person whom I know who does that is sharifah Sabrina of the tanah aina fame. She will peluk trees, talk lovingly to them and maybe smooches them .

17. Therefore if people want to become real eco warriors, join her. Don't be seasonal or topical eco warriors. Being that farcical group just when the raub durian issue surfaced. Just when there's a big hoo-ha about illegal Chinese lulian growers in Raub came up, eh eh you are eco lovers .

18. The same sanctimonious bastards keep quiet when more damaging illegal logging take place in Raub for the past umpteen years

19. The illegal logging take place probably with the connivance and complicity of the Raub district forest department.

20. That brings us to the vicariously and severally liability of the raub land office. Circumcise the DO and SOs a second time .

21. The durian trees that we saw felled down, are of fruiting age. 5 to 10 years, right?

22. Which means that for 5 to 10 years or more, the land office did not take any corrective, remedial or enforcement actions.

23. If those measures were done intentionally, negligently or voluntarily, the land office is estopped from felling the trees.

24. In my opinion (mine only) any acts that provided the officers at tle the land office are removed because of their nonfeasance.

25. So, social media warriors, especially the Malay supremacist types, it's not a simple matter of bludgeoning the head of the Raub MP only .

26. Ask also, that those who decided to chop the durian trees be jailed for destruction of property.

27. The MP for Raub is doing what is expected of him. To defend the interests of people, maybe his supporters against the draconian and ill conceived measures of the Raub land office. He would do the same if it involves people from pamah kulat, pamah rawas, sungai pasu or ulu dong.

28. So, Mr chow Yu hui, do what is expected of you. All sane people and law abiding people, those not easily giving in to the mindless screams of Malay supremacists on social media, will support you.

29. I wouldn't give any credence at all to UMNO inspired opinions. There are several and I will comment on them briefly.

30 . I have already mentioned about the hubristic, look down attitude of a sorry excuse of a little Napoleon government official. Who said the government has rights. His opinion is just that of a hater and a hate opinion. He represents the group who just know how to destroy, not build. It's the master slave relationship in action . The coolies all have to listen to him because he has the tool of oppression.

31. There was this expected stupid statement from an equally stupid looking UMNO politician . He said because the ah bengs have made millions, take the land from them.

32. Ah ha that's how UMNO thinks, folks. It's envious of others who make money. Others work, they stay at home and procreate. UMNO would rather have a portion of the money be given to them for free. And protection money be gifted monthly to the stupid looking politician.

33. It's also hate speech, sour grapish and one tinged by racism. Anything that makes the Chinese stronger is a dagger or meat cleaver directed at malays. So, the Chinese growers must be shackled .

34. Then there was also this view from an uncle Tom MCA lass who said this isn't a racist issue. Sure ah Moy -keep saying this shit and MCA will be extinct in west pahang. It will also be an also ran party in pahang .

35. Lastly, I wonder if during fruiting seasons, basketfuls of choice lulians are sent to the DOs and SOs houses. Ang pows during festive seasons, paid for change of car tyres and paid for visits to massat centres in bentong or KL. Number 47 is good. Ipoh mali, kincing tatak munyi!

Look out for my all the president's men. Part 3

The Raub Duriangate scandal. Part 2

1. I am no Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein writing on Watergate. I am just a private citizen writing on the Raub Duriangate controversy. I saw the pliant press claiming the growers will be making handsome profits at the proposed price by RPDR-JV. They have not done their investigation properly and have no inkling what they are talking about. Did they talk to paid mouthpieces?

2. Did they talk to the current MP? At the capped price of RM30 per kg what handsome profits are the press talking about?
I have even bought Musang King at RM90 per kg.

3. The government has shown this. Is siding with the bourgeoisie. It's on the side of the oppressors against the oppressed. It has shown it's not an impartial umpire.

4. The submissive press shows they are on the side of the rich and powerful. Perhaps they were feted to a feast of jelawat or patin.

5. The decision by the government to in fact bully the planters, will immediately strengthen the resolve of the planters in particular and the Chinese in general, to resist and reject the government.

6. The government may bulldoze the durian scheme but will generate punitive political retaliation. It has generated a muted revolution.

7. It will never get votes from Sang Lee, tras, Bandar Raub, Bukit Koman, Sempalit, Sungais Klau and Ruan.

8. And don't think only the Chinese will reject BN. Enlightened Malays, tired of BN politics will too. 90 percent of the Chinese will vote opposition particularly the DAP and it requires only 20 Malay swing.

9. Raub will remain a DAP bastion despite the presence of a new army camp there.

10. It doesn't help knowing the government is Malay and the planters nearly all Chinese. I am not being racist here, but the gov's decision fortifies the belief that ordinary Chinese can't get a fair deal from a Malay government.

11. It further entrenches the independent spirit among the Chinese and enhances their choice. And they will not choose BN.

12. What happens in Raub, reverberates in other states as well. BN digs its own grave where Chinese votes is concerned.

13. The government says giving RPD rights can prevent environmental pollution.

14. I find this argument disingenuous. First, environment is the responsibility of JAS. Secondly, its not as if RPD is going to police the environment with extra personnel.

15. Then there is the curious argument that it wants to legalise the illegal planting by conferring a 30-year lease to RPD.

16. Strange, no? If it can confer legal rights to RPD, it stands to reason that it can confer ownership rights to planters.

17. At the end of it all, is politics. It's a political judgement call. The government CAN decide to give or NOT give land titles. It wants to show the planters who's boss. That it has the power. Well, the planters can later decide to NOT give their votes to BN.

18. The real string pullers are the group of chinaman behind RPDR. Its one group of chinaman screwing another group. If the planters decide to give the other cheek, what can we do?

19. Having failed the first time, they are now using a royal company to keep the Malays and everyone else quiet. The Malays in particular enter into a mental rigor mortis when it comes to royalty. The chinaman is expected to follow suit.

20. The planters must realise that the company with Royal prefix is using a Trojan Horse only. They must now beware of smartly dressed Chinaman bearing gifts. They are out to "tiu" sama lu!
