The charlatan and her blind followers. Sontoloyo series no 47
1. I am not going to be embroil in the kerfuffle surrounding the hypotheses put forward by a UIA professor.
2. They are hypotheses anyway, not supported by historical facts and archeology .
3. Her findings should be affirmed or rejected by history experts and archeologist.
4. I am looking at the issue from different perspectives. Let me share them with you.
5. I am disturbed by the statements from UIA itself.
6. It says the opinions by the professor are her personal opinions. Not UIA.
7. Reading between the lines, it means UIA is distancing itself from her . 8. Lu punya pasal la. Lu 'banyiak' pandai.
9. That's an object lesson for her. When the chips are down, you are all alone .
10. The attitude taken by UIA is unconscionable .
11. At all material time, she's à n employee of UIA and the latter, her employer.
12. There's no intervening event that severs the relationship.
13. UIA should discipline her. By distinguishing into personal and not UIAs, is just a CYA ploy.
14. Is she a closet racist? Hiding behind the cloak of intellectual respectability? A tenured professor at that .
15. Attributing supernatural and extraordinary qualities on ones race, is the hallmarks of a racial chauvinist and racial supremacist.
16. Bismarck did it, Hitler did it, the grand vizard of the KKK does it and now a fraudulent intellectual here does it.
17. In the absence of denials from her, which we think there will be none given her so what attitude, we must conclude she is a racial chauvinist and a racial supremacist
18. Suddenly she has become the darling of the far right, the Malay chauvinists, the Malay layabouts, ballistic and martialist itching to plonk on non malays unleashing flying machetes on whoever disagrees with them .
19. To these people, she is their cultural and intellectual cheerleader .
20. Will they call for a Malay pride day?
21. It's not question of when marvel comics come up with Aquaman, superman, iron man or spiderman , we believed them.
22. So why not believe in the professors dream manufacture? A wet one perhaps.
23. Hello, as kids not reaching matured phallic state, we MAY believed them.
24. But as we mature, we no longer believed them. We know it's the product of fantasy and treat them accordingly and humor them .
25. If now as adults and some of us bearded like a Taliban wildman, believe in these fraudulent fantasies, it could only mean we have not outgrown our phallic state .
26. Suppose for the time being, we suspend our rational scepticism and humor the professors satirical sources , we must address an elephant in the room question.
27. If malays possesed all the extraordinary and supernatural abilities, why do we need a phalanx of affirmative policies to protect and aid us?
28. We should be able to openly compete with others on a level playing field and beat the hell out of the others .
29. How do we reconcile the assertion that we have all these abilities but need all the crutches to move forward?
30. Next and more importantly, how do we explain the Malays lost these extraordinary and supernatural abilities?
31. Either these abilities were banned by repressive regimes or possessors of the darker arts didn't want to pass on their knowledge to subsequent generations .
32. Since keeping the knowledge to themselves is particular in nature , while banning them by a government is universal in nature,I am more inclined to believe that Malays lost these abilities because of wrong political rule .
33. In modern times, the political system that snuffed out the abilities and other general abilities to carry the Malays forward is that perpetrated and perpetuated by UMNO.
34. The lesson here is clear. Reject UMNO. Reject also the Malay chauvinist and the Malay supremacist groups. Reject the Chinese and Indian chauvinist groups. MCA and MIC.
35. The Malays now have a cheerleader. In the form of a charlatan professor. To give it an intellectual respectability. More of an intellectual fraudster with her conceited so what attitude.
36. Suddenly the internet is deluged with fanciful writings of amateur historians and busybodies embellishing and exaggerating Malay accomplishments.
37. The greatness of the Malay race cannot be built on the fairy tales of a professor ish nenek kebayan.
