Judging the Judges

You know I have been meaning to write a short comment on this TV9 program which interviewed TS Isa Samad and Dr Zahid Hamidi. The interviewer was the rapid talking Dr Agus Salim.

In my opinion, Zahid Hamidi was outgunned and overshadowed by Isa Samad. That proves Isa Samad hasn't lost his sharpness and skilful repartee. If the choice of UMNO VP is based on this performance, I would choose Isa Samad over Zahid Hamidi any time. And he doesn't have to pay me and I will not have to account for myself at Padang Mahshar.

Isa Samad on Money Politics.

The most interesting thing that Isa Samad said that night was about money politics in UMNO. The UMNO Disciplinary Committee must take cognizance of this.

When Agus Salim asked Isa Samad, about money politics, the answer by Isa Samad was very telling.

As far as I am concerned there's no more money politics. That's why I was the only one caught out.

The sardonic implications of what he said were very obvious to UMNO watchers. During the period when money politics was said to be most rampant and Isa Smad was very much implicated in it, it was the height of incredulity that only Isa Samad was caught out.

If the UMNO Disciplinary Board had done its duties diligently and truthfully, that would have meant more people than just Isa Samad ALONE would have been found guilty.

If Isa Samad alone was found guilty, that would have meant:-

  1. Isa Samad was the ONLY one guilty of money politics.
  2. The rest of them were ANGELIC.
  3. So, when Isa Samad was suspended, by definition, money politics in UMNO must have stopped.

Now, if the UMNO D-Board still has its hands full with money politics and the alleged perpetrators were also the same ones who did the same thing during Isa Samad's time, this would mean the UMNO D-Board was practising selective persecution.

Therefore, today when the chairman of the Board comes out with his list of the guilty, why should we not think, the whole thing is just another exercise in selective persecution?

My prediction? No one of substance will be punished. Only Norza bites the dust.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Umno disciplinary board has barred party vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam from contesting the deputy presidency.

Meanwhile, former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo has been cleared of all charges while Khairy Jamaluddin was found guilty but let off with a warning.

OLEH ITU SEKARANG, DAH TAKDE POLITIK WANG DAH DALAM UMNO... AMIIIIINNNNNNN!

After Isa it was clean..the virus was quenched but not eliminated.
Later the virus must have sprouted, gained strength and was wallowing in the winds ;then the southwest monsoon huffed and puffed.
Along the way some stray viruses..the less corpulent ones must have sidetracked to Rembau whilst the main body of viruses continued unabated to Melaka. Will it continue to Johore or will it cross the Straits to be just in time for the Indonesian Pemilu?

Thank God it was not the NorthEastern Winds cos that would have been more disastrous i.e with Putrajaya,Shah Alam in the flight path.

We,the rakyat should always be aware of the way the wind blows..like Bob zimmerman says;

Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Dato,

Good Luck UMNO.

***

Many of us have become cynical. But cynicism does not deter money politics or make the corrupt repent.

Let us continue hitting out at those responsible and those involved.

These people are like hardened criminals. They just do not care. The one caught is even seeking a top position. This is a mockery.

A greater mockery is the flip flopping. At one time MACC was supposed to deal with it. Came the members demo at MACC, it was back to the Discplinary C'tee. And so far the C'tee found only one money politics fellow.

Come on Tengku Ahmad Rithaudin and your C'tee. Don't be a toothless watchdog. Do some biting. There's a lot to bite.

Dato Sak,

What's being let off with a warning? What does it mean?
Atttempted to?
Did already but kasi chan?
First time offender?

Much like allowing a pedophile or someone with a strong predisposition towards little girls/boys to babysit...they just cannot resist.

kuldeep 17 March 2009 at 21:43

Norza and Ms Zoom is ok too...thats great news.

Selective persecution is the game.
If I am the chairman or a person having strong influence Najib would be the first person to be caught for being the biggest perpetrator to the party disiplin.

But since UMNO is already a fucked up party, I suggest just ignore them.

They will be destroy by themselves.

Anonymous,  17 March 2009 at 23:42

Tak apa Dato' ini semua kerja Najib.
Dah orang nak sangat Rosmah berkuasa, biarkan.
Bila dah kena pengan Rosmah nanti, baru padan muka mereka
Najib puki mak tu akan hancurkan UMNO. Sama-sama kita tengok nanti.
Experiencing is believing Dato.

Ayoh.
