Irritating questions on the pardon issue.

1. In the article ' slashes the gordion knot ' part 1, points 16-20 require further elaboration

2. Many of us know the story of the gordion knot. UMNO people literally know of only 1 type of knot, knickers knot

3. It's my contention that the pardon covers ONLY the SRC mischief

4. It's indosubly linked to the 1mdb sentence; hence CONCURRENTLY.

5. Butot?

5a. It cannot be implemented without considering the concurrently requirement of the 1mdb sentence

6. The SRC relief cannot be allowed to go on its own independent frolic

7. The 1mdb 'concurrently requirement' esstops the SRC relief to wit, pardon from being implemented

8. As such to ignorant me(pardon the ignorance) the SRC relief is null and void

Other issues:-

9. Why wasn't the announcement about the pardon be made by the pardons board?

10. It wasn't a statement/announcement to be issued arising from the king's jubilee or birthday celebrations.

11. Under those circumstances, the prerogative to pardon is the king's ABSOLUTE right

12. I believed the king was erroneously advised

13. The party to blame for that misstep is the pardons board

14. It didn't ask what could frustrate the SRC relief.

15. If it has directed it's attention there, it would be aware of the sword of Damocles hanging over the SRC relief in the form of 1mdb sentence which is to be carried out concurrently!

16. Then there are constitutionality issues here

17. Right from 1957, our king is a constitutional monarch.

18. The constitution regulates what the king can or cannot do

19. For e.g. can the king create a wrong and therefore relief not already provided for in the constitution?

20. Perhaps professional lawyers can argue about it over drinks at the Sgor club bar counter.

21. If it entails amendment to our constitution, a bill praying so must be tabled in the House .

22. So you see, the pardon issue isn't an open and shut case after all

23 . It won't dispel the public's impression, that our justice is blunt upwards but rapier sharp downwards
