The Pahang MB- honourable in defeat
One certain day, the 5 of us sat with the Mb of Pahang. It was 1 pm. We were in a free talking mood. We talked about a wide range of things. Mostly politics and life in general He was in a relaxed mood. To further enhance the mood, the MB whisked out his usual after dinner accompaniment- the cigar. It was a Davidoff, I think. We soon got to talking about his impending MKT contest. He said he has not gone to the ground to campaign. Even for the introduction of contestants in Kota Bharu the previous day, he couldn't make it. He just sent his greetings through some people. Just a greeting of solidarity- not the filled handshake, that is becoming the customary arrangement in UMNO. I am out to prove a point. If I lose I can explain the loss simply to the fact that I don't play money politics. If I win, I can still say, there is hope for money free politics in UMNO. The outcome of the contest therefore, is no longer material to me. If I have to spend say RM3million to delegates, I might as well give that amount to the 5 of you. Alighting from his seat he went into the house. After having just spoken about money, was he going into the house, we were thinking aloud, to fetch money to distribute around? Haha. After a good few minutes, he came out. In his hands were a few packets of....nasi lemak bungkus. He went over to the front portion of the porch under which we were sitting, made a few whistled calls and out came running 5 or 6 cats. Damnn- he was feeding the cats with the nasi lemak bungkus. That's Dato Seri Adnan Yaakob for you. Down to earth, what you see is what you get kind of man. The outside totally reflects what's inside the man. Unpretentious, forthright and in the-face kind of put–it- to- you person. In the end he secured the 29th place out of the 25 MKT seats contested. Will DS Najib bring him into the MKT? Yes is the unqualified answer. He is an MB. More importantly, in times of pervasive hypocrisy and pretentiousness, DS Najib needs a voice that represents a reality check. My friend, Smalltalk will not go into private legal practice just yet.

You MUST always find the negative past of a person is it? You must have said and made more vulgar signs on the road or somewhere??
Its just that no opposition member videotaped you because it was inconsequential and would serve no purpose at all.
I think Omong is making a point that somehow the person described doesn't gel with the image in public. Anyway, proper restraint is the hallmark of a great leader.

Omong asked a question and rather than berating him, the "anon" commentator should provide answers or keep off. I myself can't buy what has been written about Adnan Yackob. You remember his "Go to hell" rant against Utusan claiming that it was fixing him against Pak lah? Yet he is an Umno man and Utusan is known what it stands for. If the outside totally reflects what's inside as Sak wrote, then Adnan is not an examplery leader. Period!
The perception;
A truly great leader with credentials and charisma do need to campaign too much nor grease palms to win a Supreme Council seat.
A middling leader willing to work and spread a little of the goodies as such...may win a seat in the council.If there is no real effort,very unlikely to make any headway.
A lousy leader with a bad track record,personality disorder and corrupted to the roots of his pubic hair...with lots of money and promises of more to come...will always make the grade if he is willing to work and sweat blood for his ambition.
The truth ;
Which begs the question...who do umno leaders LEAD?A good umno leader may not be a good Malaysian leader...and a good Malay leader may not be a good for the masses either.

If you cant say something nice about Dato Nan and keep harping over the lewd sign incident YOU STAY AWAY from this blog! Period!Ada saja nak ungkit! To Omong and Abdalla...
DSAY is only human...he has his flaws as a human being...and the 2 examples that you mentioned are provocation that thru his human weaknesses he retaliate...well i was there during the first incident...there was a person who "MOONED" at the group he was in which he retaliated...i know the best possible way is to ignore opposition "stupidity" but how much can a human take in terms of insult...What if Omong, i insult you now..."F**K YOU OMONG!" would you do the right thing and not retaliating? *wink*
Well the 2nd incident was with Utusan Malaysia which everyone says is UMNO owned...my intake is DSAY was a brave man fighting the "wrong" even though its within...There's a lot of lies about him on opposition medias especially Harakah and PDO but never DSAY say anything bad bout those media...The work "Go to Hell" for me isn't that crude.....I could say it to Abdalla "GO TO HELL" see....just three words...but if u think ur going to heaven...its just a word....
You dont know the man in his personal capacity...the example by Dato Ariff of him treating the cats is an example of his rightesnouss...
So if you dont know the man....dont just bloody hear say......I'm NOT a leader and i am a human being....so...i dont mind saying to you both..."Shut the F**k UP"
DSAY, like all man, has his weaknesses. But, why does he have to smoke davidoff cigars. They are not exactly cheap, are they? He could have saved the money and bought mutton beriani, friskies, and evian mineral water for the cats, and not just nasi lemak with air kosong.
I also wished he had not named the Maahad Tahfiz in Bentong after himself. It seems so egoistic and riya' of him to do that.
