Is our government a Cyclops?

THE ONE-EYED JACK MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT.

All I remembered about the former MP for Jasin was his infamous close one eye remark. He had asked the Malacca customs department to close one eye on his timber trading (smuggling?) business.

It seems his behaviour is also being copied and widely practised by the government. Thank god he is no longer in Parliament. Instead our government which is more powerful than a million former MPs of Jasin, has turned into a Cyclops. This is the one eyed monster of Greek Mythology. Having one eye, our government is oblivious to so many things questionable.

Take the case of the commission paid to Perimekar Sdn Bhd( wholly owned company by Ombak Laut Sdn Bhd, owned in turn, by one Razak Baginda. The Defence Minister went on record, in Parliament saying that the government does not pay any commission. Then what do you call the money sir?

Thus in Malaysia, money actually paid which was then termed as commission, is now no longer called commission. A person who entered this country on valid travel documents had her records deleted from Immigration. Then, can anyone murder someone who does not exist?

I remembered clearly, the then Deputy Defence Minister, Zainal Abidin Zain stated in parliament that money was paid for coordination and support services. He said that there was nothing wrong, because it was not the government who paid the money. He was a fool and still remains a bloody fool- if Perimeker had not brokered for our government would the sellers of the submarines paid the brokers?

It was precisely on the basis of acting on behalf of the Malaysian government and MINDEF, that enabled Perimekar to receive commissions. The coordination and support services were provided for by Razak Baginda and the Mongolian, Altantuya.

John Berthelson of Asia Sentinel Consulting has this to say:-

The contract was not competitive. The Malaysian ministry of defence paid €1 billion (RM4.5 billion) to Amaris for the three submarines, for which Perimekar received a commission of €114 million (RM510 million). Deputy Defence Minister Zainal Abdidin Zin told the Dewan Rakyat, Malaysia’s parliament, that the money was paid for “coordination and support services” although the fee amounted to a whopping 11 percent of the sales price for the submarines.

Wow!.

Has the government closed one eye or both in the Altantuya case? I have written something about this strange case. We are being entertained by plots and subplots, stories within stories so much so that the case has dragged on maybe for an indeterminate time. What’s happening?

Ah so, after reading here and there, I realised that maybe 7 or 8 years ago when Razak Baginda was lugging his briefcases to MINDEF accompanied by a bevy of cute ceweks, he must have operated on Perimekar Sdn Bhd or at the very least, as owner of Ombak Laut Sdn Bhd.

What has he done to Pekan politics that Najib seems to favour Razak Baginda? He didn’t help win Pekan for Najib, did he? All he did on the number of occasions we Pekan simpletons saw him, was to drive into Pekan in his X5 and chaperoned Najib here and there, making himself looked important. You know lah- how Pekan folks are; they grovelled at his feet believing that any scumbag Najib brings to Pekan must be terribly important and deserves adulation. This man is an intellectual fake and that is perhaps why Najib seems to be drawn to him.

Those are however, not the points I want to share with my readers. I am sure millions of Malaysians including all the ADUNS and MPs want to know, what is the special relationship that Razak Baginda has with Najib and Rosmah that he has been able to accomplish many things, other mortals cannot. These included:-

· Who the hell is he to be able to summon Najib’s ADC DSP Musa to assist him in his predicament with Altantuya?
· What special status does his enjoy to be able in turn to receive the services of members of the crack UTK units to protect him?
· Has he got a direct line with Najib’s officers at MIndef and Najib’s office at Putrajaya that all the security personnel were on stand by mode for him?
· What authority does Razak Baginda has to be able to direct the two accused persons now in goal, to do his biddings?
· Have the police investigated on the persons named in the RPK statutory declaration, namely the lieutenant colonel and his wife?

Aren’t all these too much of a coincidence, that all the persons linked directly or indirectly with the Altantuya case are all somehow connected to Najib and Rosmah in more ways than one?

I say this once again, Permatang Pauh will be Najib’s waterloo.
