Albatross around Pak Lah's neck

Zaid says his decision to resign is final. The man is adamant Pak lah, so leave him be. Even though you have rejected his resignation, you cannot force a man if he doesn’t want to work.

If you insist retaining him when he insists he wants to go while refusing your insistence, it is not necessary to persuade him to stay. He is the albatross around your neck. You made the mistake of appointing an anarchic person like him and therefore you are accountable for your mistake. This is your comeuppance.

But its ok, its not like, if he who insists he wants to go is not around, your cabinet is devoid of quality. You have many qualified people- your rural development minister/information chief who doesn’t know the difference between . a he and a she, you have Azalina Othman who can counter and spar against Nana Non, you have the mouth frothing shabery cheek. In any case, if Zaid goes, you can always fill his position with the BBC lads who have mastered the technique of identifying the sex of tadpoles.

In the first place, it was a mistake to appoint him as senator and then made him a minister. The principle of keep your friends close and your enemies closer doesn’t work with this chap. He is a free spirit whom you will not be able to keep on a leash. That probably explains why he has no friends in the cabinet.

He has been a trenchant critic of your government and a position of a minister hasn’t dampen that tendencies.

But sakmongkol wants to know, if this fellow thumps your nose by refusing after you insist his revokes his insistence, why do you still want to pander to his whims? Just think of him as the ass that likes to hear himself brays.

That is why Sakmongkol insists you shilly and shally.

But Sakmongkol warns you, keep an eye on the Brutus beside you.

Great blog here!
I've added you to my RSS feed at my own newly-launched site, Cendana Blues: Addicted to Politics at http://cendana287.blogspot.com

I also have another site, Recovery from Drug Addiction at http://cendana287.wordpress.com

BTW, so you are the ex-ADUN whom I had read about. And from Najib's Pekan too?! I'm sure I can get some juicy details here from the archives...

I was `quite near' to Pekan in 2006 - was at Gambang (pusat) then; plus at the AADK Kuantan office for a few months.

I think I might have met you once - there was an Umno function at a mosque in Tanjong Lumpur, Kuantan around August 2006 that was attended by Hishammudin Hussein. Datuk Pirdaus was there too, plus some Pahang Umno leaders.

Was reading your older posts in chronological order when I received this e-mail alert (was at "the meeting at the bunker" - Hitler's?:-) and Najib's sumpahs). Gee, there's SO MUCH material here for me to use as spoof and lampoon against "some people"!:-)

About that function; well, it was "Pemuda". Even if you were not there, I think you might have been involved in another function with Hishammudin on that same day. I seem to remember that we at Tanjong Lumpur were waiting for him "coming from Pekan" at around Maghrib on that day. But never mind...

Anyway, it's a big honour to be able to correspond with an ADUN - doesn't matter if it's "axed". Or someone not from my own state. Your intelligence and frankness in these posts make you someone special, sir. I believe you'll "be there" again ... and maybe `soon'; for there is this thing as "Kuasa Tuhan".

Wassalam.
