1. I so wished the same intense outrage, disgust and repulsive anger are directed towards corruption as they are towards the building of a Hindu temple.

2. So, we asked why do malays who are Muslims in name and deed behave like this?

3. It seems that malays are ready to call to arms over the jalan masid India Hindu temple. The spirit is applaudable.

4.even Malay ladies who have not even prayed at the masjid India and will not likely pray at the new mosque to be built, joined in the fray expressing outrage.

5. They go to that area to buy things from wisma yakin or buy costume jewelry and trinkets from the shops there . Most importantly to see and buy the latest clothing material from jakel or to oggle at the clothing material bought by Kak Rosie.

6. Malays, men and women, young and old have joined the fray expressing outrage, disgust at the temple. Outrage has evolved into racism, bigotry and religious intolerance where land granted to Hindus is vehemently opposed. See what it has developed the into?

7. How do you explain this evolution? To my mind, this is the result of years of indoctrination and lies. First by temporal xenophobic nationalism and paranoia. Second, by religious xenophobism and paranoia.

8. Type 1 corruption is almost a religion to the Malay firsters political parties like UMNO, bersatu and their like minded groups. The ecclesiastical warlords are constantly searching for some obscure religious dictates that see corruption as sedekah

9. These political parties share a common trait, they have no political will to control corruption. So, if the teacher pisses off while standing, the students do so while running.

10. A much beloved UMNO and the country's leader , once said that corruption is the grease that lubricates the machine and the engine for economic growth. UMNO people took the saying literally like a duck takes to water.

11. I am surprised that UMNO leaders, past and present are not under SPRMs radar while pas leaders are said to be. Hello, corruption is the oxygen to UMNO la.

12. We all know that pas operates on the principle, wa haramun kalau makan sorang, wa halalun kalau bbagi Dua.

13. And talking about the lack of political will,the pakatan people seem to have contacted this contagious desease. Why is that only Anwar seems to be shrieking and shouting here and there about combating corruption, while others do not.?

14. The harapan people, especially it's ministers including DAP folks are not making combating corruption as part of their job description. Or are they making hay while the sun shines?

15. So if political parties and the government have no political will to combat corruption, don't expect the people, especially the yak yak yay crowd to have the will and determination.

16. People ignore religious and moral sanctions against corruption. Not that they.are not present - they are, but people simply ignore them.

17. Or it could mean, that religious and moral values that see corruption as venal, are not rigorously instilled. Or they are not regarded as important and therefore society takes them lightly.

18. Lack of political will, flippant treatment of religious and moral values, these values not enforced rigorously, make society sees controlling corruption as something trivial. Some sections of the Malay community , see corruption as a petty and a nickel and dime issue, a necessary evil as it were.

19. As a result, sections of the Malay community, pedal the idea that corruption is not something to be ashamed of .

20. A community that is not ashamed of corruption has no honour and no amour propre.

21. As a result, these groups shamelessly ' pasar malam' the slogan ,apa nak malu bossku.

22. Groups that trivialize corruption are not worth our while to support. Now that you know parties like UMNO and pas actually support corruption, do we still want to support them? I hope not.

23. Since 1957,our education system never included corruption as a subject in our syllabus. To be condemned and despised at. If we did , perhaps we could have generations growing up hating and despising



corruption. 24. Instead, the education has come up with the zanny idea of mandating students wear jalur gemilang stickers on their shirts. Woi, all of us including the minister grew up without wearing such stickers on our school uniforms. And our love for the country is not diminished. 25. Then might as well asked all uniform bodies do the same. Police, customs , immigration and so on. Imagine the millions raked in by the sticker supplier/s.

26. I have a better idea. Why not have a photo of a young Rose Chan in all her glory, stitched on uniforms. I am very sure the uniforms will be much loved and preciously looked after .

27. Parents don't teach their children to hate and despise corruption. Taking other people's property, stealing and the like are evil and sinful deeds. Makan duit Haram is Haram and supporting it , is also Haram.

28. We mustn't discount the role played by the lying social media in shaping public opinion. Our social media is awashed with articles and narratives glorifying and celebrating corruption and the Corruptors.

29. How often are we being fed with nauseating narratives saying that Najib is a victim rather than a perpetrator. It's incitement asking us to subvert the law agitating for Najib to get full pardon and be freed. Have we forgotten about his role to be decided in the mother of all heists, 1MDB? 30. What are we to do, if he's found guilty? Again ask for an innocent verdict for a guilty person? Or call for public lynching of the judge?

31. Already a soft landing is prepared for Ismail sabri in the almost 200m graft case. Also by social media operatives saying the case is political.

32. We must never forget that these social media operatives are probably UMNO surrogates. The articles and narratives written by bottom of the barrel material , the bottom feeders and parasites from deep down the bowels of society.

33. If we sane members of society, surrender our critical thinking facilities, we are going to be sucked into the whirlpool of Bonhoeffers collective stupidity. The interests of the many hijacked by a few madmen .

34. The attitude of society as regards such a thing like corruption, is determined also by our own personal values system. If we are the weak and ambivalent type, we will countenance and support corruption. If we look at corruption as a nickel and dime issue, it means we don't care for the integrity and honour of society. We are a society with no shame, honour and amour propre. Imagine a Malay society described as one that has no shame honour and amour propre.

35. A society that has no shame and honour will likely spawn persons who commit corruption but have no shame honour and amour propre. They don't give a damn as to how society looks at them

36. Contrast this to what happened in Singapore in the early 80s. A minister was convicted for corruption. Unable to withstand shame and dishonour, he drank poison and committed suicide. Sorry, I have to use this example. My apologies to the family .

37. If the same stigma is felt here in Malaysia, the man to be charged with the almost 200m graft case would drink a barrelfull of poison. The man already convicted for corruption and is currently charged for grand heist under 1MDB would drink from an Olympic sized pool filled with cyanide.

38. That, grasshopper, concludes our 1st part of this article. In the next installment other aspects of the paradox of religious outrage but loving care of corruption will be discussed.

What a tangled web we weave..if we first practise to deceive. Part 1. Tales by an unknown blogger no 52.

1. One of the memorable quotes by Franz fanon which I remember is o body, make me always a man who questions. Something like that .

2. Only I forgot whether it was said in ' the wretched of the Earth' or ' black faces, white mask' . It does not matter .

3. Asking questions, thinking critically and independently is our first line of defense preventing us from being sucked into the vortex of collective stupidity.

4. Suspending critical and independent thinking makes otherwise intelligent people being herded into blinding uniformity.

5. It leads them to dumbing obedience, fearful obeisance and servile concurrence.

6. It makes people believe in false narratives, propaganda, conspiracy theories and outright lies.

7. Thinking critically and independently is not only a sufficient but necessary precondition to defend us from being sucked into the whirlpool of collective stupidity; shielding us from believing in lies, conspiracy theories, fake news and false narratives.

8. So, my body, make me always a man who asks questions.

9. The social media is nowadays inundated with bigotry and false narratives. I propose to debunk some of these .

10. I predicted the closure of the kilang padi in Perlis will become a combustible issue.

11. It has become one. There are already allegations that the Malay farmers toil the under the sun, fat Chinese cartels are making money.

12. Do we stop and asked we questions? Are these runaway statements true or false?

13. Are the middlemen conglomerates all Chinese? Or are most of them consist of Malays? Why don't we ask the gomen to publish a list of these middlemen conglomerates?

14. Looks like I have to write another full article on the beras imbroglio. 15.we ask what are the immediate actions needed to

(a) to address immediately the rising price of the cost elements in the cost of production and

(b) elevating the welfare of padi farmers. Not talked about, seemingly appearing intelligent, the mumbo jumbo thing about long term productivity. Productivity is a long term resultant, babe. It does not occur overnight!

16. We will leave the beras issue just now and ask critically about the incessant calls asking the PM to step down now?

17.what is the basis for asking Anwar to resign before GE? On account of his alleged failure to defend Islam as pas sees Islam?

18. Or the pm musr resign because he has failed to ask Hannah Yeoh to leave the government? Or because the PM has allowed the DAP to interfere in the affairs of Islam? What to do with a great number of Malay Muslims who themselves are unhappy as to how Islam is being managed by half past six Jakim and it's equally inept Ustaz minister?

19. If we unravel the theatrics behind this point, it's nothing than vindictiveness and hate speech.

20. Not to mention that much political capital can be made using religion to condemn the PM. Malays , upon hearing of alleged threats to Islam,are easily herded into blind rage.

21. And let me remind readers, that speaking on pas platform, do not make these people holier than thou chaps . aren't lying, deceiving people, using religion for it's benefit, defaming people -all are 2nd nature to these ecclesiastical warlords? The people condemning the PM on religious issues could be that group too .

22. The PM must resign because he is alleged to have allowed the DAP controlled the government?

23. Be real la sikit..use our brains. Wouldn't that means we are assuming that the malays in cabinet and in government are duds and are muted? That they can't dispute if the DAP comes out with disagreeable suggestions?

24. These false story tellers want us to reach a ridiculous stage believing that if we appoint non Malay ministers especially from the DAP, they must have sinister designs on the Malays.

25. Wouldn't the false story tellers actually revealing their xenophobic and racial supremacy instincts?

26. If we suspend our critical thinking, we would be sucked into collective stupidity and start believing the false narratives hawkered by these storey tellers

27. So what is the basis asking the pm to quit? Because a few barking mongrels don't like his person?

28. Is the PM suffering from incapacitating ailments? Has he voluntarily resign as Dr Mahathir did? We're there any successful vote of no confidence? No, were there? We must hold on the idea, that the only legal means to change a government, is through a GE not some wet dreams of a coup.

29. Ever wonder why UMNO has never been part of any vote of no confidence? Because UMNO has no balls. It knows that if it loses in any vote of no confidence, UMNO will be out of the government. It can't afford that. Absolutely!

30. Out of government means out of power. Out of power, UMNO fades into oblivion. Being in power is it's raison de tetre , it's life blood. UMNO is lost without power, it does not know to be in opposition.

31. So it's cling to power by any means necessary. Even if it has to prostitute itself.

32. It's in UMNOs interest, if more people suspend their critical thinking. It can only rule over dumb masses.

It's a question of economics, not morality or religion. Part 1. Tales by an unknown blogger no 47.

1. I thought long about writing this article. It might be misconstrued of not supporting Anwar. That's not it. I support him as PM. But that cannot mean I agree with all his decisions .

2. His out of line response to Rafidah Aziz's criticisms about helping Gaza is a point of contention.

3. Difference in opinions of others ought not to as an excuse to run others down .

4. The pm may have a high level of Islamic-ness but that high level ought not be used to run others Islamic-ness credentials .

5. The PM is behaving as though he has the 'onliest' correct version of Islamic humanity or even Islam. Then, those who disagree with his version is not Islamic enough .

6. Then those, not only rafidah who question his decision to help out the Palestinians in Gaza do not have the care for fellow Muslims as he does.

7. In a way, the PM's version of Islamic humanity is self serving- to justify his decision while disparaging others.

8. Do we detect some hints of Islamic autocracy or even fascism there? Such that we cannot question his decision especially if it's based on Islam.

9. It's not a question of more or less Islamic humanities but a question of economics.

10. Don't befuddle the issues. We all know of the genocide and suffering and international ineffective-ness and indifference that accompany it. You want to lecture us on what we already know. That's pompous patronizing .

11. Now, I don't know rafidah Aziz. Haven't met her in person. I know of her though. A lady known for her forthrightness. She will defend her views and opinions exhaustively. Wet in the nose boys ought not mess with her . unless they want to get the their noses bloodied

12. When she says our priority is sorting out domestic issues perhaps we should be looking at the economics of the issue.

13. It's the allocation of scarce resources, the appointment of financial resources, public choice theory, opportunity costs etc. nothing to do with morals or religiosity for that matter. Can anybody say Ms Rafidah is not Islamic enough? The boys aping nana non are probably busy with Mrs Palmer and her 5 daughters.

14. Wouldn't scarce resources ( money, labour, management expertise, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors be better appointed here in Malaysia. There are certainly areas that can capitalise on schools, mosque and hospitals.

15. What if these are levelled by marauding IDF? Will Malaysia send troops to Gaza? Hmmm, come to think of it- send Akmal, or the people reporting on Hannah Yeoh or better still, send the perak pas commissioner.

16. What are the costs to Malaysia? The benefits? Ada a proper CBA been carried out. The bastardized Keynesians at MOF will support the idea. Heck , they may even have some choice contractors to go to Gaza. I say bastardized because the half past six economists spend not only during periods of economic slacks but all the time.

17. Imagine if the same financial outlays were applied to Malaysia. The multiplier effects would be tremendous. We can build schools, mosques houses and hospitals in MALAYSIA!

18. What are the opportunity costs to us. Assume the financial outlay is 200m. With 200m how many hospitals can we build? With 200m how many units of houses can we make? How many schools can we make? How many mosques can we make?

19. Btw, opportunity cost is defined as the same financial outlays applied on 1 alternative use..it's not 200m for schools+mosques+ houses+hospitals. It's only on 1 particular use not several simultaneously.

20. I saved public choice theory for last . The Keynesians at mof ought to look at this.

21. Since public choice theory ( associated mostly with Duncan black) is part of the more general economics choice theory, I propose to discuss the general choice theory. That only superficially. Those interested in the details can read it up.

22. The basic idea behind choice theory in economics, is that people make decisions based on a rational analysis of the costs and benefits. Only iff the benefits outweigh the costs, you decide yes.

23. Rational means you compute quantitatively. In this case the measurable costs against the goodwill( ordinal value) you get from the Palestinians. That is temporary because the goodwill will be forgotten. Long run does not even feature here as Keynes said in the long run we are all dead .

24. Has an exhaustive CBA been done by the economists and advisers at MOF? Or are they all covering their crotches as the pm takes an indirect shot at the goal .

25. Sometimes it's also called RCT- rational choice theory. The individual, in this case behaved rationally and that behavior is considered beneficial for Malaysia. It's said we shouldn't question the PM's noble decision. Ho hum!

26. To assume that the PM acted rationally is a tall order and exaggeration. Private rationalism can never be greater than what the public thinks.

27. The PM may think he obtains goodwill and gratefulness from the Palestinians. That goodwill cannot be readily and easily quantifiable against the costs which are readily and quickly understood by the public. The costs are greater than ordinal goodwill .

28. Have we ignored the proximity issue? The countries closer in proximity to Gaza in terms of bloodlines and physical closeness have a higher duty than Malaysia to help. Are the other Arabs playing with their balls?

29. Malaysia's action would be tantamount to giving milk to the monkeys in the forest, while our children at home are starving.

30. I say let's not just brush aside the opinions of a former minister just because the opinions don't resonate with religious sensitivities. It's a question of economics bro .
