1. The contest for the PKR number 2, casts a long shadow on the political fortunes of Nana Non.

2. In particular to his political longevity. We know that , that depends on him keeping the faith of people in him, on him fulfilling the many promises he made and on his team of fellow leaders determined to carry out the reformasi ideal.

3. Already in the 1st two,he has problems, on the 3rd he's not going to sleep soundly either.

4. Keeping the faith of people in him means keeping the belief of people in him as a change agent. Change agent number 1. Living out reformasi ideals.

5. We are reminded of what James carville asked, change or more of the same? Or as Machiavelli asked, are we interested in retaining the status quo or overthrowing it?

6. And my honest and candid answer, because I don't want Anwar to be a one trick pony, is that he shouldn't waste any time stopping him to carry out reformasi ideals.

7. He should in earnest, weed out the vestiges of past UMNO. The UMNO of Ismail sabri, Najib and mamu Mahathir. And bersatus legacy.

8. Over the basic issue of reformasi, anwars attitude is dubious.

9. In many instances, Anvar seemed unduly restrictive and self limiting and not willing to go the whole 9 yards. He seems wavering, diffident, compromised etc. In place, he justifies his 'non feasance' by all sorts of excuses and bourgeois verbal manipulations. I am not going to cite actual instances -there were many

Under those circumstances and they will be repeated many times because behaving that way, is an integral part of his constitution, he needs a firm voice emboldened enough to keep him within the guard rails. Hey, all the while he sings bol Radha bol, suddenly he goes on a frolic of his own and sings mahathirs favorite , kuch Kuch HOTA hai.

11. In such situations he doesn't need a sycophant and a yes sir jolly good sir type of person to sound him.

12. I am not going to use the tired arguments of dynastic pretensions and nepotism.

13. What's more damaging, is what I term as the deliberate placement of incompetents in positions of responsibilities.

14. Placing misfits in responsible positions caused all types of havoc to Nana non. Incompetence, mediocre work output, power abuses, corruption and so on.

15. Didn't the prophet Muhammad warned us, in a Hadith sahih, that when you lose entrustment ( AMANAH) wait for Armageddon to come .

16. Whereupon the companions asked. How do you lose entrustment? When you put the wrong people in responsible positions, answered the prophet.

17. I see the clash of 2 forces in the PKR contest for number 2.

18. Between a group led by lapiji which is ready and willing to assert and keep alive the ideals of reformasi.

19. The other counter reformasi group led by nululizzah which are willing to compromise and tolerate the supreme leader's vacillations. NIA becomes a useful idiot .

20. Why do I begin the discussion on PKRs contest for number 2 by talking a little( for now) about the political fortunes of Anwar? Because I think this bloodletting will not happen without the blessings of dear leader

21. Rafizi, I believe is insightful enough to know this .

22. But I am not going to fault Anwar for behaving that way. He's being an effective politician, a Machiavellian persona at that .

23. We mustn't think of him as sly, deceptive, tricky and willing to employ the darker arts of politics.

24. We are judging a contest between politicians, not a contest between persons for good behavior.
