MCA's lack of political viagra and Perkasa's overdose of steroids.

Two important events took place over the weekend. MCA held its General Assembly, met and elected a new president and deputy president. Liow Tiong Lai emerged victorious with a 51% support from his party members. He and his crafty deputy will quickly move to line up the remaining seats of the MCA central committee with their people.
Liow would fit in nicely with UMNO’s version of what it wants for MCA leadership. He is malleable. I have always suspected Wee Ka Siong to be a wily operator- he has a track record of edging others to fight first, tire each other out and sort of prepare the ground for his eventual appearance. This time around, his borrowed knife has set aside Soi Lek’s proxy. Liow will face a more formidable opponent in Wee Ka Siong next time around.
When PM Najib officiated the MCA Meet, he advised MCA to take in political Viagra. Where is MCA found wanting? Najib knows MCA hasn’t got the capacity to mobilise Chinese support for the BN. liow represents 51% of the 2300 MCA delegates at the assembly, not the Chinese voters out there.
It wasn’t Liow who sprang to his feet to respond to Najib’s Viagra reference but the wily coyote Wee. Here is a fellow in whom UMNO will find it difficult to control- he has shown an early stubbornness and an indication that he is willing to take a different stand. Liow on the other hand, has missed an early chance to make an impression thus affirming the perception created by the previous MCA president that LIow is indeed a weak leader.
While Ka Siong’s bravado may have earned him points, that can also be his undoing. UMMO will take steps to contain Wee.
But what about the political Viagra reference? No capacity to get it up? Seems to me, the PM has been boxed in by sexual references. When defending the increase in sugar price, he said too much sugar affects the male libido. He’s now at it again. Perhaps he was mindful of the sexual prowess of the previous MCA president and wishes MCA as a political party has that kind of vigour.
The political Viagra comparison is to tell MCA that to UMNO, it’s a wimp suffering from political erectile dysfunction. MCA won only 7 parliamentary seats having lost a further 8 seats from its previous position and has 11 state seats earning it the moniker the 7-Eleven party. Effectively, MCA has been replaced by DAP as the preferred voice of the Chinese. UMNO wants MCA to be robust in the context of shoring up Chinese political allegiance. If this message is lost on Ka Siong who seems to be reading the Viagra reference as an opportunity simply to assert that MCA is a political equal or that he is nobody’s poodle, he is misdirecting his macho-ness. UMNO doesn’t want a strong and assertive MCA leader- it wants a strong MCA to capture Chinese vote.
The second event was the PERKASA general Assembly. Unlike Liow, the leader of Perkasa, Ibrahim Ali, is a mini version of UMNO on steroids. Mini because it has 500,000 members to UMNO’s 3.4 mllion. This time around, Ibrahim Ali says will keep a KPI on Najib’s and Muhydin’s performance, eliciting a sarcastic response from UMNO’s information chief that it’s UMNO which is calling the shots, not Perkasa. Perkasa and UMNO must be having a love-hate relationship; In the recent UMNO general assembly, UMNO’s deputy president MUhyidin Yassin mentioned his gratitude to Perkasa and many other UMNO leaders have expressed filial feelings of Perkasa. Yet, we did not see any current UMNO leaders of note at the Perkasa Assembly. UMNO needs the support of Perkasa but doesn’t want to be seen in Perkasa’s company.
But that isn’t the point I want to expand. At the MCA General Assembly- one delegate stated that in the 2004 General Elections, when Chinese support was responsible for BN’s overwhelming victory, MCA didn’t ask what more do the Malays want?  Good for the ears of the 2300 delegates, but prejudicial to Chinese politics. The tit-for-tat rhetorical question, leads MCA to play the very game UMNO wants MCA to be in- having to grandstand an issue created and embellished by UMNO supremacists. Should MCA respond the way UMNO wants it to( as it did through this delegate)- that kind of rhetorical question will allow the UMNO extremists to project an image of a Chinese horde and the party responsible for creating this mess is MCA.  The Pragmatic Chinese don’t need that kind of image.
So to the Chinese out there, MCA isn’t a party for you to invest your interests in. abandon them!
The lame return shot has allowed Ibrahim Ali to answer: the Malays demand:-
·         The Chinese not to besiege the Malays
·         Not to question Malay privileges
·         Not to question the position of Malay rulers
·         Not to question preferential economic and business policies
And so on and so forth.
Sew how stupid for the MCA to play the game on the terms UMNO supremacists want them to?
I will respond to Ibrahim Ali in the next article.

Liow Tiong Lai will forever be indebted to Najib and Warthamoorthy for helping him retained his Bentong parliamentary seat abeit a mere four hundred votes. And if not for retaining his parliamentary seat,he would not be the present president of Mca.

He owed Najib,Umno and Warthamoorthy big time and will forever owed his allegiance and be a puppet to them.

From CSL who has proved his prowess by his manhood to an impotent viagra gobbling minnow.

MCA are run by a group of selfish, self centered & idiotic people. This party is a syok sendiri party & are doomed to failures as they are considered as UMNO puppets.

Cahaya Qalbu,  24 December 2013 at 00:38

There are still many Chinese who are in desperate need of assistance & encouragement from the Government. But unfortunately, they and other non-Malays have been systematically marginalized & discriminated by UMNO's Apartheid-like Policy for the past 40 years.

And what did MCA leaders do for the past 40 years? Except providing tacit support & agreeing to UMNO's divide-and-rule policy they have done nothing convincing for the betterment of all Chinese. MCA leaders only care for their positions, power & potential wealth. To the Chinese, MCA leaders constantly remind them to be grateful; conditioning their minds they are just Pendatangs even though significant numbers of them are citizens of Malaysia for generations...

The MCA leaders are really political Eunuchs to UMNO & must be removed at all costs. It is the right, not privilege, of all Msians to be treated with respect, fairness & justice by the Government. The UMNO-led BN Government is treating many Msians like second-class citizens. Even the Malays in Kelantan have not been spared.... What kind of leaders in the Government does this nation have?

Every assistant is so ad-hoc. Why can’t assistance be long term, ongoing & part of a Master Plan to uplift the living standards of all Msians irrespective of race? All right-thinking rakyat should just tell UMNO/BN that Enough is Enough with their Evil Governance.

The fact that the MCA has failed the Chinese cannot be denied and they must abandon the party completely to have any dignity left…

Beneath the celebrations that rakyat have in Malaysia on festive occasions, there are many citizens suffering in silence. The display of extravagance from the elites of filthy rich corrupt BN leaders comprising Chinese’s, Malays, Indians, etc are really a display of cold hearted individuals, ugliness and cruelty neglecting fellow humans. Surely they are totally at odds with their different faiths that they submit to.

Those educated, fence-sitters or pro BN should search their conscience deeply to help fellow human beings. Everyone can be gold to Malaysia, just as every citizen of multi heritage is precious to develop a nation.

Treasure all… and one’s conscience is clear and truly at peace with one’s God. Not living such a hypocritical life on this earth is the right thing to do indeed….

Dato,i'll be grateful if you can approve this true feelings comments of mine. To all MCA & Gerakan people or party members who are reading this blog,if you guys are sincere on helping the rakyat to have a happier life,i strongly urged you people to immediately LEAVE BN to join Pakatan Rakyat or become independent for a common cause to free our beloved country from the rampant corruption & power abuse of UMNOs. Ordinary people are struggling to cope with the high cost of living. It makes me disgusted and pissed when you guys attacking Pakatan Rakyat when they are really highlighting the issues that are affecting the rakyat. So if you guys want to continue being UMNO puppets , that's fine. But stop being a hypocrite & a loud mouth because you guys are a born losers & a dissapointment to our Chinese community & the whole Malaysian peoples.

Eversince I was an undergraduate in UM in the late 70s and early 80s, I had given up on MCA. I am a Malaysian Chinese and a top student in my MCS and HSC and when I was admitted to UM for a course in Economics, I needed financial assistance. I was a top student, with good extra-curricular records including a King's Scout but was turned down because my dad was a poor man and not an MCA member.... I have known the true colours of this political party since more than 30 years ago and I have never supported them... to me, they are just a bunch of "kaki kong, kaki song" people out for business, contracts and cheap government land.

I pray one day, I sit on some tribunal to trial these robbers and scoundrels for what they have stolen from the rakyat... I leave the Malays and Indians to their own judges but I sure would love to trial my very own race...

It was shocking, what sort of prime minister would make such a speech at an ally's party election?

Najib the PM & President UMNO/BN must have thought it was his right to reprimand, deliver that tight brisk slap across their faces. But judging from the reaction in Dewan Song Choon on sat 21 Dec2013, no one seemed to find Najib's speech offending; wonderfools, they clapped!

The newly elected 'leaders' - Liow Tiong Lie, Wee Ka Siong, Lee Chee Leong, Chua Tee Yong, Hou Kok Chung nor Chew Mei Fun, all chose to remain quietly seated! Oii what's going on? So they are the new set of 'tough leaders' that will transform the party for a new beginning(quote Sunday Star)?

Nah, MCA can never ever change, not with the mentality of the present flock who will obediently genuflect before their corrupt masters for the crumbs dropped from under the table. And no, Viagra won't work on dead birds!

The paradigm we need is to Change Today...this second, minute hour... No matter how hard you try, you cannot change the past or the future...that is the reality. The reality is NOW....this moment in history, not next hour or tomorrow.....the reality is NOW. NOW is this second. That is the reality. Reality is today the Pressure and cost of Living after 60 years of Sultan UMNO-BN Rule have given us this state of affairs. If the present status quo persist, then how can the future look different. The only difference is that it gets worst with UMNO-BN nonsense with Sultan Approval!! We need to end the nonsense with Sultan approval. How to stop 60% of rakyat against 40% of UMNO-BN Romantic Barang Naik supporters....Bangun Bantah Bangkit Dataran Merdeka 31 Disember 2013....mulakan dan Pahatkan reality Baru Hari INI!!

The Chinese have yet to finish their job with this party.

MCA is Dead long time ago.
What MCA is doing now in their assembly is Annual Prayers For Dead or for its demise.

MCA will never wake up from its coffin anymore.

MCA deserve it. Because, all the way, they fooled the Chinese and the Chinese have woken up and punished MCA.

MCA will NEVER be forgiven. No way.

Sak,

All of you can continue talking till the cow come home , logics and reality dictates that BN will continue dominating the political landscape in Malaysia.I do not see much unity in the Pakatan itself.Even with 90% chinese behind DAP/PR and the best DAP performance so far PR still fail to secure Putrajaya. How sure are you that our chinese will be behind DAP again ?.How many Indians and Malays are there in DAP CEC ?How can you attract more non chinese into DAP.? You tell me.

Anonymous,  24 December 2013 at 17:36

I just do not understand what MCA has to gain from being in BN.

They KNOW that UMNO has destroyed the country's institutions, the Rakyat's livelihood, cheated, stole tax payers' money, telling lies, create racial disharmony, does so many unjust things, ridicule the Chinese they are suppose to represent etc.

Yet, they did not even squeak and continue to support UMNO. My only conclusion is that MCA leaders only want one thing which is not certainly viagra. Their main purpose of being in politics is only going after a cheapskate thing... govt positions with some leftovers as a bonus.

They don't really care whether the Rakyat starve or dies. If they cared, they would not, in the first place still in BN..as eunuchs and concubines.

Bluebug,  24 December 2013 at 20:00

The best oppurtunity PR had was PRU 13.You know and I know UMNO and BN whether you like it or not will still be a dominant party after all.UMNO had bigger no of members. They had transformed their election process for bigger members to decide on their leaders. They are more democratic in their election process. They have bigger grassroit support .The few good malays that DAP had like Mr Aspan Alias is not even nominated because you want ro keep tbe party to their own group and circle. This crony things nust stop else DAP will revert to its own position like before-forever an opposition.

All this street denonstration and rallies do not work anymore I am for a peaceful and a democratic Malaysia.

I am fed up,  24 December 2013 at 22:13

I am a Malay and last election I voted for Pas/PR because I thought the coalition can become the government. After reading the racist remarks against my Malays here from some DAP chinese supporters ,I felt like vomiting and DAP/PR still play the racist card just because most chinese vote for DAP last election to out maneuver UMNO.I am seriously thinking of changing canp if you guys keep on playing the race card.I thought the minority chinese in Malaysia are better treated than the minority malay in Singapore. No ?. I want to be a second class malay if I can send my children overseas; buy many condos and monopolise the economy.Stop it.!!

A: Papa!

(collective heave of relief in all of cyberspace)

B: My dear Sofea! But you look gaunt..(head lowers, brows furrow, sighs deeply)

A: (smiles bravely....and sweetly) I'm alright. Just trying to keep the yatims' going. I would have you know many people like my kuih-muih.

B: Knowing how many you're helping, it won't be enough funds. Why not apply for financial support?

A: If i do that, then there will be less for other equally needy homes. Times are bad so we should make do on our own as much as we can.

B: Hmmm... then i better try to find you a good man to help you out.

(ten thousand trembling hands rise up in cyberspace; some chest-thumping also)

A: Now, now, Papa, shan't we leave that to Him?

I am so sorry for neglecting you. I sense your old sadness has returned.

B: (waves hand) Don't worry about me, Sofea. My time has passed. This is just mopping-up operations.

I have learned yet another thing from Him. Trying to help others, i go into the jungle every morning a human being. In between, i meet mosquitoes, leeches, spiders, buffaloes, monkeys, lizards, tigers, snakes, crocodiles and anacondas. How then can i not come out later looking like a wild boar?

A: (dainty twinkle in the lovely eyes). Hmm, Papa, and i thought the crocodiles and anacondas had all moved to Putrajaya?

B: (mischievous grin returns). Ah! now i know why i didn't see any baboons in the jungle. I suddenly feel so jubilant at finally solving that mystery.

A: I have been missing on our political scene. What has been happening?

B: Which version you want, my dear girl? The shoot first ask questions later version? Or the guilty until proven innocent version?

A: Err....how about plain straight truth version?

B: Truth?! In Umno-land where got truth? Truth died the death of a thousand cuts over the last forty years of Umno-rule.

For instance, didn't the MOE declare with his stupid bravura we have a world-class education system?

Now, with the Pisa rankings coming out, he will have to eat his rm23 million blueprint report page by page. Last i heard, he is down with gastro-combustion.

What a joke! How can our young compete when they have been conned for generations?

And the crime continues. Just the other day, one mainstream paper pompously headlined that exam results have improved this year by 0.7 percent. What level? PMR! As some of the mata-sepits will say, tiu-kau.

I don't blame them. Standing between oblivion and our super-cow education system is just their vernacular education standard which is stronger on science and maths. And Najib arrogantly denied them their own tax-paid money of rm100 million for those schools. Stupid, arrogant and racist. Three sins and he still dares to gloat?

Do you know what all that means? It means those Umno untuts are still pulling wool over the eyes of the parents. Which means what? Which means after half a century, the only thing they can celebrate is an improvement in PMR results, the glorious standard of achievement of our society whose members are only one step ahead of the jungle.

Maybe if we return there, our standards will automatically rise higher, no? After all, who can possibly lose against a wild boar?

And those bloody baboons have the nerve to say that price hikes are good for the economy good for them. But they didn't say which 'them'? Them as in rakyat, or them as in them-them?

Those putra pricks have finished off Malaysia and her citizens and now they dare to come out and try to soothe things. Where's my sabit?

walla 25 December 2013 at 10:25

2/2

A: Errr...shall we move on and away from education, Papa? I know you get worked up whenever that topic comes up.

How about this Umno Mca Perkasa thing?

B: My dear Sofea. While Rome burns, little nero's fiddle.

Who gives a shit?! The rakyat are suffering with absolutely no solution in sight.

Next year most will die when all the price hikes converge. Those fools never realize the folly of what they have done.

They have stacked all the inflationary factors together so that negative multipliers will cascade prices upwards that have nothing to do with value or productivity and therefore income.

And when the GST kicks off, it will be the very detonator that will blow those MFs off the falling roof.

A: Err, Papa, what's MF?

B: (chastised look). Oh, that's morbid foolishness. Don't worry about it. Just an expression.

A: Is that why Perkasa wants to talk about our Malay privileges and so on?

B: When donkeys have already destroyed the economy, what privileges can survive? Where to find the money? Again from the mata-sepits they bully? Low culture bullshitters demanding money from their victims. What's that? Gangsterism, no?

That is the real situation before us, Sofea. Too many privileges with no expiry date has destroyed the moral and muscle fibers of our Malays until Umno has to pretend everything is still ok when everyone already knows they have nuked the country through and through.

But who will survive in the end? Those who control the judiciary to free confessed murderers. Those who spend millions on electricity without a thought about the rakyat. Those who fly around in private jets and live off public funds. Those who give projects and permits to their own cronies while the honest Malay and the honest Chinese and the honest Indian and the honest natives are pushed aside who would have given better quality at cheaper prices. Morbid Foolishness!

A: Whooaa, Papa. Can i make you some coffee?

B: Got viagra in it?

A: (twists lips). Hmmm, Papa. You still think of her?

B: No sound no picture no more. Yes, i still think of her. I am incredibly sad, Sofea.

A: Then i shall have to find you a good woman, yes? (grins sheepishly)

B: (takes out comb, combs three strands of hair, grins two remaining teeth, strokes four strands of moustache, blinks eyes a few times).

Well, in this land of endless possibilities, who am i to disagree?

A: But Papa, you were higher than the Umno Supreme Council. No go home and mop floor!...(giggles) Oops, just kidding!

B: Have a good last look at me, Sofea. Next time you see me, i may really look like some wild boar.

A: No you won't, Papa. Because your heart is still human. And He protects and succors all human hearts.

B: Except when it comes to Umno, it seems? Yes? No? Maybe?

nick 25 December 2013 at 12:54

Lack of political viagra? If MCA has any "cojones" to begin with, a viagra might be useful if not necessary but sadly (on second thought, I'm not a bit sad because nobody cares about MCA anyway) MCA is a eunuch ever since they elected a porn actor President. So, a viagra is totally irrelevant for MCA. And that's about all I want to talk about MCA.

Lets move on to PERKoSA err.. PERKASa or whatever. Ever since their champion fighter, the one they have been trumpeting as the "Lelaki Melayu Terakhir" which if we really understand the real meaning of that phrase, we would know that IA is really the "last malay man" (as in "tercorot") the Malays would place their hopes and future on, PERKasaR is totally castrated, irrelevant and useless to the Malays except maybe for some UMNO warlord and cronies.

As far as the majority of Malays are concerned, IA and his PERKasaR are just thugs and samseng, not much different from the "penjahat di penambang" in P. Ramlee's film "Pendekar Bujang Lapok". PERKasaR exist not to champion and protect the Malays and Islam but rather to hassle the people and extort some protection money so that their leaders can "joli" and above all, their main expertise is offering their services as kaki pukul (gertak aje) and kaki buli to the highest bidder and in Malaysia, the highest bidder is UMNO because they are the gomen and they control the treasury.

PERKASA and Ibrahim Ali are nothing more than "a stupid joke heard while having coffee at a mamak stall". Not interesting or funny enough to repeat it to our friends and family and even if we do try to tell it, we end up looking like a moron with an IQ of a "frog crossing the road at rush hour". The end.

Nick.

Before you call yourself that, do say what you have done for electoral reforms, especially to stop gerrymandering. Go on. The floor is yours.

nick 26 December 2013 at 15:37

Dear Demokrasi (it loathes me to call you that because it is obvious that you know nothing about democracy but I'm just humoring your lack of comprehension skill),

Thing DOES NOT just "appear" to be bad and wrong with Najib and BN, IT IS in fact, BAD! The price of petrol doesn't just "appear to be high" but in fact it has gone up because Najib has cut the subsidies. The price of sugar does not "just appear to be the highest in this region" but it is in fact THE HIGHEST! The cost of living in Malaysia not "just appears to be high" but it is actually high because BN has caused the price of goods to skyrocket by cutting the subsidies on fuel!

BTW, which planet are you from, demo? Because it does not "appear" that you live in this country and even on this planet! Maybe you live in "The Planet of the Ape" where they measure the cost of living by how much bananas you have and how much more you can grow in your backyard? Seriously, I've got to ask because your defense of Najib and BN is simply BANANAS!

Oh before I forget, Najib didn't won his presidency in the recent UMNO election because there was no contest(!), since no one dares to contest against HIM! That not democracy! That's North Korean "democracy by a gun barrel"! That's Abdul Wahib's "stupid but it sound logical demokrasi terpimpin"! That's UMNO's "demokrasi tunggang terbalik" where money replace conscience and everyone is up for sale at the right price. AND, it's a fact and not just an appearance! The only thing that is both appears and IS true is that NAJIB and BN are ruining this country and they are doing a splendid job at that!

Nick.

P.s. Are you implying also that Rosmah just appears to use the govt jet for her personal business but didn't really flew in it? She obviously didn't took the commercial flight, so did she flapped her wings or hitchhike with santa on his sled or sat on a flying carpet and then somehow "appears" to have landed on an airport of her destination?

Greenbug 26 December 2013 at 16:56

If you have seen the expose by the Selangor State Speaker YB Hannah Yeoh of how the MCA EXCO members of the previous state government allocated themselves each a 1 bungalow lot of land at RM1 psf in USJ (market price RM200psf and up) you will understand why thery are still scrambling for party positions....

Anonymous,  27 December 2013 at 17:53

Season's greetings to you Dato,
I am back in KL for my annual holiday and all I sense from my former school mates and ex-colleagues is that BN is doing a most lousy job. BN has learnt nothing from the last election but grown even more arrogant and making treacherous in-your-face remarks to the rakyat.
Even a Malay taxi driver is up in arms against BN when he could be the real ambassador for Malaysia. A die hard UMNO supporter had no answer when I commented that Malaysia's national debt has more than doubled under Najib's 4 short years and a Greek-like bankruptcy is looming.
Things have grown so much more expensive in the last 12 months. But it may be just the right antidote as more pain is required to wake up more voters to opt for change. KL seems more vibrant but I fear its all a bubble. Most new development projects are sold out but recently completed buildings have frightening low occupancy rates. Obviously productivity is lagging as speculative activities drive up false perception of higher market values.
Malaysians are now living in dangerous times again.
