The Obama Victory
First, congratulations are in order to Barack Obama, the under 50 American President to be. He is a first in many things. Of course , he is the first black American or afro American to become the
Obama is many things to many people. To the people of
In the enclaves of the watering holes in Bangsar, Bukit Bintang and so forth, Obama’s victory was celebrated just for the indefinable feel good sensation. The cafe-latte liberals, the smoked salmon socialists, the Dom Perignon liberals, the caviar crowd, the champagne- connoisseurs and the BMW Bolsheviks all found a reason to make merry.

Obama also promised to create more jobs for Americans by reduction of outsourcing by American Corporations. Currently Asia (including Malaysia) being the at the top of the list in out flow of O/sourcing
He said during his campaign that part of his agenda for change is "making the choice is between giving tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas or give benefit to those corporations that keep jobs domestically.... We may not be able to stop a company from moving, but we can stop from providing them incentives to move"
Such a move, combined with the reduction of 50K contract govt staff , Singapore's proposed move to reduce foreign labour (Malaysia being at the top of the list), and global economic slowdown, it looks like things are going to get worse before it gets better.
Datuk Sak,
