One Fingering the 10th Malaysia Plan

Who prepared the 10th Malaysia Plan? It sounds so APCOish- another PR exercise meant to boost the PM's popularity. We must be living in the dark ages- easily suckered by the myth-making machinery.

Or it must be written by some people who get some kick out of rhymed thematic association. Hence 10 big ideas for 10th Malaysia Plan. Next year, 11 big ideas for some other plan. Eleven being the PM's favorite number.

The high income economy depends of Malaysia getting a 6% growth in the economy. The TPM says this is doable. Private investments through the likes of Sapuras, Syed Mokhtars, Nazas, Gamudas, etc can give us the almost 13% growth rate in private investments. Not difficult- give them all the strategic business deals. Moreover they are Bumiputera- giving to them, over and over again is justifiable because it's done in the name of Malays. In the meantime, never mind if Felda, the plantation has to borrow from EPF. It's our father's money.

This kind of argument is demeaning to the Malays- I am sorry to give this analogy- it's like ignoring somebody else making love to your loved one. Never mind, as long as the loved one gets the sex. Rape in the name of BUmiputera.

So, if we Malays ignore and countenance this kid of condescending and by nature inherently exploitative argument, the Malays will be doomed. Syed Mokhtar for example started with selling rice or something. He has been given many other things. Last I heard, even the supply of tanks to the military is being done by Syed Mokhtar. Does he have the experience and expertise in doing that kind of business before he was given? None. He was given because of who he is not because of what he actually can do.

By citing this argument against the Syed Mokhtars, I am not forgetting those non Malays who hitched a ride of the privileged bandwagon. The Yeohs, the Kim Siews and of course the Vincent Tans. You are not serious in suggesting that these people are better upstairs are you?

The same people will now be rushing and tripping over each other making a beeline to the PM's office or maybe grovel at the feet of the PM's wife to get an early hearing. Services? Ah yes- health care is a gold mine. Education. Insurance for the government. Tony Fernandez is eying the hospitality and health care business. Give them licenses, monopolies etc. they can create the wealth which will enable to give us the coveted USD 15k PCI. That's the One Finger Malaysia way. Pointing in the right direction of course!

I am saying Ibrahim Ali has got it wrong. The 10th Malaysia Plan is not going to incorporate his demands because if they are, the 10th Malaysia Plan isn't going to succeed. Why? Because essentially, the 10th Malaysia Plan depends on private investments. And private investors are not likely to be enamored with the incendiary calls by Ibrahim and his gang. PM Najib will of course be looking at the bigger picture. The sacrifice of Ibrahim Ali is part of a bigger picture of inducing private investments and realization of his USD15,000 PCI target.

How will it get to this? To create and ferment that attractiveness, the government will hit three areas - half its deficit, reshape the workforce and push for urbanization. The simplest way is to go on a cavorting binge with the private sector (read those names that I mentioned above) hence the increase in privatization by five-fold over the 9MP from twelve billion to almost sixty three billion with fifty two projects. It will also add twenty billion to mezzanine some of the PFIs.

  • Redevelopment of Kg Abdullah Hukum- Setia 6 billion.
  • MRT Greater Kuala Lumpur -Gamuda 35 bil.
  • Gaming License Ascot/Vincent Tan 1 bil.
  • Sg Besi RMAF Base Malton Group 15 bil.
  • Pahang water transfer Loh&LOh 0.5 bil.

Everything's in the pipeline baby! Perkasa- we will support completely what this government is doing.

The price for Perak, perhaps?

Dato'

Indeed it's big pay back time for those who help in the Perak, Ulu Selangor and other buy elections.

High income - USD15,000 PCI. Spore now more than USD 30k PCI. By the time we hit 15k spore will hit 50k. Anyway, high PCI must be match with low inflation otherwise it means nothing in terms of puchasing power.

And 15k is only the average. Gini coefficient will be wider especially among the Malays. And the bottom 80% of the malays will go after the 20% corrupted UMNO Malays and their cronies. Both way, Malaysia is doomed unless true reforms takes place.

Bro

The $8 billion defence contract said to be awarded to DRB/Syed Mokhtar and mentioned by Rosemajib refers to a contract for 231 light armoured manoeuvrable tanks for "UN monitoring duties in Afghanistan"!!?? Wtf!! That's $35 million per and Tony Pua says you can buy them for less than 1/3 this price from USA or UK!! Details about this contract are scant.

I don't think DRB has any expertise in this field and so they will have to set-up a JV with a foreign party to manufacture it under licence or sub-con it out 100%. France, after $3.7 billion scorpene subs (yet to deliver the 2nd sub), seems to be a favourite of Rosemajib (already signed MoU with them for 2020 nuclear power plant)!!

So, as anothe blogger posted, this is the "pukul habis/pukul mati" type of stragedy (no error there!) that Rosemajib and his $100 million foreign consultants will rain upon us until the next GE.

If the economy tanks to 4th world status, a few among the elite and inner circle will have a huge retirement fund to dip into. The rest will have to fend for themselves as best as they can.

There are rumbles also about 2 parties lobbying the Govt for chip-based number plates monopoly contracts at $150 per vehicle which could be worth $2-3 billion a year!!

So, I would not waste any time trying to analyse TMP or NEM or rationalise it. It would be a complete waste of time.

We have to figure out how we can get rid of a thieving, plundering and downtight dishonest Govt and replace it with one that can unite us to achieve commonly agreed national aspirations and economic goals!!

Believe me, it's not Art 153 or 160 or the social contract or allah issue that's the real problem. These are being stirred up by those who see their power base weakening and like Maha Firaun will try and fool and frighten the uneducated with 'the Malays will be colonised and marginalised here as in S'pore'.

It's the looters in power we have to eliminate!

we are all of 1 race, the Human Race

Dato',

You have a good point there...

Just looking at the Bigger Holistic picture, you can see the "Tentacles" all over...

As you had rightly said...APCO-ish, NWO agenda, Divide & Rule, Bankrupt the nation, the Ibrahim Ali, the Local Big Boys Club, etc = the NWO $$$ Supply Chain Matrix & their "Bodoh Sombong Pawns/Puppets/Perpetrators" from Jibby, Ibrahim Ali, etc, etc, etc.

Same modus operandi....Divide & Rule principle...

Also to share this....Tavistock Institute...
http://hardtruth.navhost.com/tavistock.html

University of Pennsylvania
Wharton School of Finance & Commerce

One of the prominent “brain trusts” of Tavistock, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce (founded by Eric Trist) has become one of the most important Tavistock brainwashing institutions, insofar as “Behavioral Research” is concerned.

Wharton attracts clients such as the U.S. Department of Labor, which teaches how to produce *cooked* statistics at the “Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates Incorporated”.

This method was very much in demand as we came to the close of 1991, with millions more people out of work than was reflected in the USDL statistics.

This “institution” has graduated such *prominent* alums as Donald Trump, a shining testament to the callous and glibly egotistical mercenaries it churns out to do its bidding.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, also “graduated” (one can only wonder how many favors Donald had to agree to do in order for that feat to be accomplished!) from this pretentious brainwashing center.

All our Priceless Heritage sites like the TUDM Base in Simpang Airport, the King's Old Palace Grounds, the Parliament House Grounds, the Carcosa Grounds, etc are already being planned to change hands...

It is already in the pipeline & there is nothing much that anyone can do to stop it now...

You be the judge.

Cheers.

Four months ago Najib announced increase in pay for security guards all over in Malaysia . He said a minimum wage of RM 1500 would be the starting pay. All hell broke loose. Every Melayu including retired police, army and imported Nepalese were singing praises in TV3 prime time news.
Suddenly, yesterday another minister announce that decision is defferd to sometime in future.
Look at the damage done in the interim. The price of every food item went up. Now the security guards have to eat Maggie Mee without the egg because the price of eggs have gone up more than 50% within the last 4 months.
THIS IS NAJIB'S NEW ECONOMIC MODEL.

Fact is we are goners.

There just is nothing anyone can do.

Lucky those working overseas earning overseas pay.... I mean the high income ones and the ones who are having businesses overseas .. not those of us who would be sending maids to work in Saudi Arabia or to Indonesia( pretty soon).

Baharudin 14 June 2010 at 21:58

Salam Dato',
How true & how SICKENING! Don't think I can swallow this anymore! Wonder what "we"/rakyat can do?

Anonymous,  14 June 2010 at 22:07

Umar,

Flip-flopping is part of the NKRA's under the Najib's New Economic Model. Expect more to come.

Anonymous,  15 June 2010 at 01:43

Its not Ibrahim Ali thats the real enemy of the people...

Please do not waste bullets on the mouse when the tigers and crocodiles are roaming the streets..with serious intent to do severe damage to us n all our kids.

The 30% Bumi etc is just a cover story cos the real beneficiaries are all lined up..the main Bumi front and the attendant major beneficiary.

Meanwhile,we will continue to be misled by threats of bankruptcy by 2019 as justification to get more out of our pockets and to accept that we are poor.

Indeed Msia is on target for the High Economic Model but our share will be the sucker punch.

Dear Dato,
Malaysia is already doomed. Your dependency on oil is coming to an end. By 2017 some form of synthetic oil will be available; Exxon is working on it. This will push the price of oil down to $20 per barrel. At this rate even Saudi could not survive;it needs minimum of $60 per barrel to balance its budget.
Malaysia cannot even produce enough rice to feed its population; it still imports rice.
So what is the point of 10
MP if the country is heading for bankruptcy. You wasted 53yo (since Merdeka) depending on natural resources like rubber, tin & oil and producing unproductive population that depends on subsidies.
The future looks dark and you have too many idiots running the country. Bye bye Malaysia

Dato'

Even Mr Kan, Prime Ministry of Japan
acknowledged that Japan will face bankruptcy if nothing is done to their economy.

Why are our politicians so fearful to face the economy reality ?

Are we in better shape than Japan ?
