There is a Malay saying which you can read at the end of this article. it says- as bad as rancid meat is, you gingerly chew the moresel as it is still edible.
Ho
khai mun , my opponent in Raub Parliament has already lost the first round. I knew
what he was up too. I retained my composure. When our papers were submitted and
initially cleared he went up to the returning officer and showed some
documents from his smartphone.
I
am having the first laugh. He wanted to win by default. He showed the returning
officer some record from the insolvency department. I indeed had an insolvency problem which I came
to know when I wanted to renew my international passport recently.
The
election law says one can’t contest if one is insolvent. Ho khai mun and his
MCA minders including the head of the MCA Raub who had no business to be in the
nomination room (he is neither a pencadang nor a penyokong) thought they could
use this simple trick to disqualify me. But unknown to my MCA opponent, I cleared
the insolvency in total so that I come before the returning officer, with clean
hands as it were. The Dato Sri MCA head of Raub division perhaps doesn’t know
me yet. But I cut my teeth building a career opposing people, including my former
UMNO division head who is the PM.
So
there you are. I am now officially a candidate in Raub parliament. Ho Khai Mun
has underestimated me in this round. He thought I would be naïve enough to go
into elections without clearing my name.
I
know I can beat him now. He has already shown his true colours. Wanting to win
using underhand tactics and not knowing how to win like a warrior.
It’s
going to be interesting when I expose my information on my opponent. To the
Raub Malays including my friends in UMNO, I leave them this message. Even the
Chinese are supporting me, you Malays, want to abandon me, a fellow Malay and a
Muslim? There is an old saying in Malay’-
sebusuk busuk daging, dimamah dimakan juga.
I
haven’t gone on the offensive yet in Malay areas. Ho Khai Mun looked ashen
faced when the two UMNO incumbents came up to me to embrace me as we were all
old friends. Of course his UMNO comrades will help me.
PS: I am having 3 ceramah sessions today; (1) 5 pm high tea with Tamrin Tun Ghafar in Dong Raub, (2) 8 pm ceramah at Cheroh and (3) 9pm ceramah at Felda Tersang with Tamrin Ghafar and friends.

Dato'
ReplyDeleteKudos to you and serves him right! On the offensive then!
Observer.
Way to go Sir......
ReplyDeleteSalam Dato'
ReplyDeleteDo use to good effect with the Malays that they being Muslims cannot support or vote MCA against you as MCA has strongly declared as against Muslims right to uphold Hukum Hudud.
All the best and am confident you will be accepted by the voters there. Raub is for your taking.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Dato'. Please don't be a Tunku Aziz. We'll support you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteMCA types are like the 1PM i.e.
Devious and tricky .

Like everywhere else in the country,it seems more than 80% of the Chinese are with Pakatan. So with s small percentage of Malay votes you should be able to make it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I just wonder why would a Malay still stick with BN despite being cheated for half a decade.
As salam Dato'
ReplyDeleteGendang telah dipalu, perjuangan telah bermula, langkah diatur, Selawat dibaca.

ReplyDeleteGod Bless You on your journey to change Malaysia into a better run country.
Sock it to them Dato. I hope you beat him resoundingly. Best of luck and God bless.

Tak-sabar sabar menghitung hari kemenenagan Dato dalam tempoh 15 hari lagi.

Dato',
ReplyDeleteThe odd is in your favor. You contest on DAP ticket (the party that has more integrity than MCA, hands down), hence no reason for the majority of the Chinese to vote for you.
And being a Malay muslim, why on earth the Malays in Raub choose not to vote for you?
Strategize, improvise-explain (and dare to field questions and answer honestly), and God willing, you are heading to Parliament after this historic 5th of May.
Ameen.
Salam dato. Our prayers/doa are with you. Insyaallah you will victorious. Amin
ReplyDeletePut in a token amount in your bank account as your campaign fund. Hopefully others will help out too.

ReplyDeleteSak,
Its nice to hear that you gave a nice stiff kick to his ball[not balls] because he has only one.
Now thats what SCROTAL GUMPTION IS ! [as zorro says]
All the best and i'll not pray for you cos prayer is for a hopeless case.
You are DA next MP for RAUB.

Thank you Sir, for contesting with a good course. I will definitely spend one whole day and make it to at least one of your ceramah and make my personal contribution to your campaign. I have been following your blog and I know you are important in shaping the future of this country. God bless you, Sir.

ReplyDeleteDato Ariff,
ReplyDeleteSemoga Berjaya didlm misi Dato.Demi rakyat dan demi Malaysia.Jika Dato menang didlm PRU13 ni saya yakin calon melayu yg mewakili DAP adalh perkara biasa dimasa akan datang
Yes, Sakmongkol passed the first hurdle. Alhamdulillah. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI thought it will be smooth sailing for candidates since the EC abolished the bantahan thingy this time around.
It's good they did away with bantahan over silly errors in nomination papers. And a clown gets to win without contest.
Alahai sedey jelah menda macam tu for you, Sakmongkol like what my Aki Pahang said. (Sedey means easy in Pahangspeak).
Takkanlah orang Pahang takut dan ketar hadapi small matter like that kan. Inikan pulak keturunan pahlawan Pahang, ya tak.
Your opponent does not know you got things up your sleeve.
Since I am not voting there, I will be cheering you to the finish line. But if I am a voter, it will be a cross for the BN though I don't know your opponent from Adam.
After reading your column for years, I think I know you and like you. And know that you are made of sterner stuff.
Glad that you are already campaigning. Is Tuan Aspan helping you?
If you don't mind telling us, are you staying in a hotel, Rest House or renting a house there for the campaign duration?
Best you can put up in the many homestays there so that you can be closer and have better connection with your voters.
So happy for you, and best wishes from all of us here in Kelantan.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a long overdue change, a change to be reinforced by three complementary parties, one to provide the spiritual anchor and pathways, another the overall vision and motivations for a progressive nation and the third to secure a firm base for competent technocrats and bureaucrats to function freely without the fetters of an oppressive political regime, incapable of separating the legislative functions from that of the executive and the judiciary as obtain now.
All the very best to you and your fellow saviours.
ABCD - ABCD - ABCD - ABCD- ABCD
ASAL BUKAN CALON DACING!
Sekalung Doa untuk Kejayaan Dato' dan pakatan.
ReplyDeleteDear Dato Ariff, it very infrequently i write to/in your blog.
ReplyDeleteMy humble request to you is : may you pass along an urgent message to your party elder standing in Gelang Patah - Saudara Lim Kit Siang. Please, please ask him to reiterate in all speeches (ad nauseam) and every meet/greet the constituents that "the rights of Orang Melayu is guaranteed by the constitution of the country, and not by any political party, and that DAP has no right or wish to change it".
This is because the other side has gone to town (kampung, desa and pendalaman) to give hate speech that these rights are threatened.
My only humble request.
Selamat berjaya Dato. My prayers are with you and your cause - may the righteous win.
Salam
Pak sak, all the d best to you. I am bit disappointed that aspan alias not in the candidate. But hope he hold no grudge.
ReplyDeleteBryan lee
dato, best wishes for a huge success this GE. msia desperately needs fresh leaders like you who use their god-given brains to help make this nation a better place for all.
ReplyDeleteDato,to make a long story short, your opponent Ho Kai Mun, his porn actor president and the rest of the gang are cowards and losers.
ReplyDeleteI am just waiting for the election night to see how big he is going to lose.I do not think that he will be staying long after the results are announced. And hey who knows,he might never show up.
hilarious.
ReplyDeletego ask the felda people how many packets of nasi lemak can they buy if they were to liquidate their fgv stock at the last closing price... after paying off the bank.
You're looking good, keep it up!All the best, for the next 15days. Didoakan sentiasa dalam Lindungan dan Ikhsan Allah.
ReplyDeleteIts going to gruelling, especially if they started nasty! Glad they lost round 1.
Wassalam
Insyaallah,
ReplyDeleteSir, You are the winner.
Najib's BN got nothing but handing out goodies and embracing Hindraf at the 11th hour.
BN should be on the opposition bench.
Deputy wanita UMNO at last abandoned UMNO !Victory is yours.
cant wait for your expose,, i am having ringside seat here for the blood sport
ReplyDeleteDG of Kemeterian Kesihatan claims that experts find that Bukit Koman residents are not affected by hydrogen cyanide.

Now we have sit down and patiently ponder.
ReplyDeleteAs in any normal elections, even Malay candidates standing on DAP tickets will get at least around 15-25% of Malay votes in Umno/BN strongholds.
Now we are pretty sure that some Umno members will support Dato Sak in Raub. But assuming that Dato Sak is 75% correct in saying that Ho's Umno comrades will help him then who is going to vote for the Mca candidate named Ho.Maybe Najib's bought over Warthamoorthy's followers?
speak the truth and shame the devil / my grandad had this mantra / MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU SIR /
ReplyDeleteTahniah Dato',
Assalam Dato , HKM did nothing for N33 Bilut. Please teach him a lesson.
ReplyDeleteSalam Sakmongkol and congratulations to a great kick off! Way to go, we are behind you all the way!
ReplyDeleteDato...i hv high hopes on u, please do yr very best for the country and the people, and the people of raub!!! I tell all my raub frens that i know u although in actual fact, i only KNOW OF u, so, i convinced them to vote u, althought, they already would without me even need to convince. PLEASE update ON A DAILY basis, where and when r u going to ceeramah or be, every day...ok?? I would like to cross paths with u...hopefully. All the best and good luck!!!! May the best be with u!! Ng
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Ha! Dato'. What a nincompoop you have as an opponent. Perhaps you can convey to this young upstart about the relevancy of the Malay proverb to his predicament, "kalau kail panjang sejengkal, jangan lautan hendak diduga." That will probably leave him with a stupefied face for the rest of the election campaign!
ReplyDeleteCheerio, have a nice day, and have fun whacking those dungus.
Azymalaholo, That's the best you can do. Fuck you !!! Hidup Melayu !!!
ReplyDeleteKudos Sak
ReplyDeleteDato', I may be in KL, well Selangor to be precise, and a Malaysian of Chinese descent. You are right, the Chinese are behind you, that you do not have to worry. MCA to us is virtually history and non-existent. I would therefore like to wish you a successful campaign and may you enter the hall of the Dewan Rakyat soon.
ReplyDeleteThis MCA guy Ho sure is a creep. He likes to get in the the back, that is why he likes it rough and dirty.Like many of his counterpart dirtbags, they are trained to be cheats and just dumb stupid.
ReplyDeleteThese dirtbags are no fighters, just chickens.Plain and simple, cowards. And before the bell has even rung he has already got a black eye. What happens when the real fight has started. Is he going to pee all over the floor like a beaten up puppy.Or run home to his mummy?
You are one cool cucumber Sir! We Indians like the Chinese these days will gleefully carry even the Pas or Keadilan flags anytime. ! You are our man Sir and thanks for bringing about UBAH Ini Kalulah!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and good luck to you, Dato. You can rest assured that you indeed have the support of the majority of the Malaysian Chinese.
ReplyDeletesalam DSAK,
ReplyDeletePENTING nya YOU berusaha dan berdoa disamping merancang Allah adalah PEMUTUS. Don,t be over cofident. Go DSAK go and INsyaALLAH DSAK sukses. ITU HKM buat trick lama tahun 90 an lagi.
Best wishes to your constituents. They will have a worthy representative in you, Dato. Lucky them.
ReplyDeleteThe less said about MCA or the Why-Lah-Moorthy fellow the better.
Good Luck!

ReplyDeleteCan't disagree with moggs - Dato' you have said this umpteeth time that the rights of the Malays are enshrined in the Constitution and that the arithmetic just won't allow the DAP to do as it wishes with regard to the Constitutional rights of the Malays. Still, Kit Siang must say this himself unequivocally - there are no two ways about it. If he thinks it is beneath his dignity to do this then he has fallen into the emotional quicksand that UMNO leaders have prayed for all this while - in actual fact, he is also doing the greatest injustice to you and the other Malay DAP members at this crucial moment by being silent on the matter. He may have done it many times but if they are not reported or broadcast on youtube then his political campaign is flawed, to say the least.
Remind him that politics, especially Malaysian pre-Election politics, is a sub-set of the political culture largely defined by UMNO-BN since the 80s, that says for the population at large be it Malay, Chinese or Indian, etc, emotion, not mathematical logic is the clincher.
Kit Siang can ignore this at his own peril.
Anon 0057,
ReplyDeleteHow good is your English ?
Macam awak nilah orang yang mendapat pendidikan di bawah pemerintahan UMNO.
Dato,
ReplyDeleteSaya juga ada buat sedikit sumbangan kepada akaun Dato. Semoga Allah mudahkan usaha kita menumbangkan rejim BN. Amin.
This is truly the dawn of a new Malaysia! I see people from the various ethnic groups are behind the leadership of our PR leaders. Dato, when PR forms the next Goverment after this GE, things will change for the better particularly on the race relationship. I strongly believe all Malaysians want to live in true harmony. My prayers are with you and to all the PR leaders to win and be the next Goverment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a real moron this MCA guy is.Ho Khai Mun? Never heard of him. Well it doesn't matter who they going field to be your opponent Dato, you going to win anyway. MCA is a total disgraced to the Chinese society & whole Malaysia. They have became UMNO lap dogs for now.
ReplyDeleteDato,
ReplyDeleteI am a Chinese Malaysian & I will vote for you or any non Chinese of your calibre, period. For the future of our country, Malaysia can't afford to be racially divided.
Thambi grabbing and kissing Zulkifli Noordin is a kiss of early political death for him.Hindraf supporter or paid bollywood actor.Either way it is a disgraced after Zulkifli ridiculed the Indians.
ReplyDeleteSalam Dato' Sabri Sakmongkol AK47
ReplyDeleteYou have my full support, as good a malay as good a muslim. ROS will think they can kill DAP last minute through legal implication disqualifying them from using their rocket logo. The result of the test is this: from the ground level reaction & among the opposistion leaders, a resounding victory of comradeship for PAS, DAP & PKR. Fuelling the last gap in Unity factor and Acceptance at every level at the right time in this critical moment of history. Astounded they backtrack by issuing a confirmation letter at the brink of time (10 pm 19 April 2013), yes you can use the rocket logo. A badly miscalculated move (to separate & rules) but smart enough to retrack it.
In the eye of a Creator there is no such label call race & religion. There is no separation at all but due to convenient identification & misunderstanding, the flaws in human limited false perception laying claim of superiority over others is a bad mistake, untold misery. It is the same mistake that is being exploited to rule & divide.
Oh Malaysian We are All One, There is Always Enough. Survival to the Fittest is a serious embedded flaw. All We need is to Share & Enjoy the Common Wealth and Common Resources. A New Governance is to facilitate this common aspiration for the people and NOT to RULE by separation but merely a custodian on behalf. The Power with the people and not over the people.
Enough is enough of all untold form of global exploitation and manipulation through various capital instrument to amass wealth and power in the hand of the few.
The Kingdom of Heaven is Here not here after. For we have been given the power to change. Ubahlah Demi Malaysia, the world is awaiting our victory. This is just the Beginning.
Read Sak, May God be with you always.Look for justice and the truth.
ReplyDeleteKudos Dato' Sak

Salam Dato' Sak, may Allah bless you with iman and thunderous win against the mca (tolak Hudud) party guy. All the best to you sir!
ReplyDeleteDatuk Sak
ReplyDeleteIf the BN people come up with the usual rubbish that there is no threat to the health of the public, the public health experts helping the anti-Lynas movement (without any financial gain to ourselves) will gladly assist you and the long-suffering ordinary people too!

Salam Dato' Sak,
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best in this coming election. I really regret that I couldn't come back home (Kg Temau) to cast my votes. Kena pulak booking flight last minit dari Christchurch ke High Com Malaysia, Wellington. Mahal pulak tu.
Balik2 bukak cerita 13 Mei. Semua yang keluar dari tv tu, percaya bulat2. Saya harap mentaliti org kampung ini dah byk berubah dan saya doakan kemenagan Dato'. InsyaAllah.
I am with you Datuk......all the way.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteHi Sak,
My contacts in raub are displaying the video clip on zul nordin condemming the hindus on their lap tops at the hindu temple and to the devotees there and they are 'hot'. just waiting for may5th to show their displeasure.
The good thing is bn showed they love zul by nominating him for the shah alam seat.
In shah alam, when asked, mic guys cant answer on this matter to indian people there.
Anyway, the educated indians are for 'UBAH " while im afraid the uneducated ones may be influnced by "leaders and vips shaking their hands.
The hindraf guys are already discounted and most indians now question the sudden deal. No effect.
Anyway bro, Let not these bugs spoil your determination, dedication and disipline in your endure to wipe out bn from raub.
Just try using " VANAKAM, En Arumai tamilar namberhaleh Vanakam ' when addressing the crowd in your ceramah to be inclusive of the indians where sometimes you forget to address the indians as such.Im not complaining but a passing thought.
Though im not in raub, i'll talk to people who are close to me to do my request to vote for you.
As they say "little drops of water makes a mighty ocean"
VETRI VEL, VERA VEL.
MCA is calling DAP racist. They are echoing UMNO. That is what they do best. They are the side-kick. In the old days Tan Chee Koon said it best. MCA carry with them a coconut, which in Hokkien sounds like "ia" or ya. And a bottle (botoi) which when incorrectly pronounced in Chinese becomes "betul" in Malay. So MCA is the echo of UMNO. Everything is "Ya" and "Betul". That was during TAR's time. Today still the same. A bottle in one hand and a coconut in the other!
ReplyDeleteDato
ReplyDeleteYou may have an unlikely ally in Kamilia I applaud her for quitting umno She can call upon wanita umno members in her team to not vote umno
Many blogs and FB are talking about how cruel Najib was in denying her a seat just because she spoke out against Sharizat
well said...Now my only part is to contribute into campaign chest..Ini kalilah
ReplyDeleteWhat we want are the most important 3 things
ReplyDelete1. Transparency
2. Accountability
3. Justice
We hope that you will through the next government restore right conduct and good governance so that we the rakyat can prosper and be happy. We need not have bribes doled out to us to vote. Najib's actions were humiliating and demeaning indeed to any one with any self respect. Ini kali lah !
Good-luck to you in Raub.
ReplyDeleteMy vote has always been for a strong opposition in the past.
And now...it is for change at 13th GE...and your success will be good for Malaysia.
We need bumi brain ministers at Putrajaya (BUMNOs mostly dumbos).
ReplyDeleteDato' the eldest brother (DAP), Hafizi the youngest (PKR) and Husam of PAS right in between..
Yeah Pakatan rules!
Yes, PAKATAN will rule come 6th May.
ReplyDeleteYou will take Raub.
