I JOIN MILLIONS OF MALAYSIANS, IRRESPECTIVE OF RACE, CREED, COLOUR AND POLITICS IN EXTENDING MY HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF THE LATE MR TEOH BENG HOCK AND HIS BETROTHED. EVERY RIGHT THINKING MALAYSIAN IS SHOCKED OVER THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING HIS DEATH.
TO ESTABLISH THIS GOVERNMENT'S INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY, IT SHOULD FORM A ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY TO BRING EITHER THE PERPETRATORS OF THIS HEINOUS ACT TO JUSTICE OR ESTABLISH THE INNOCENCE OF PARTIES. I URGE ALL MALAYSIANS TO REMEMBER, THE LATE MR TEOH WAS SOMEONE'S SON, GRANDSON, BROTHER, COUSIN, NEPHEW, UNCLE, BETROTHED, FRIEND AND ALSO ONE OF US, A MALAYSIAN.

Well said. We cannot accept law enforcement instituitions to be above the law and take sides to please their political masters. We want a fully independent Royal Commisssion to conclude this case for all Malaysians. This Minister Nazri is RUBBISH and not fit to be a Cabinet Minister.

The MACC should be investigating that RM24 million Balinese Mansion but it did not. The MACC should investigate its own director's son on his continuous employment as a pilot in MAS despite being convicted in an Adelaide court for paedophile or child pornography, but they did not. Instead they do this.

ReplyDeleteMACC appears to be under orders from the very top (GOD?) to continue this approach with all Pakatn Rakyat ADUN's until some of them break up and agree to switch over to BN.
Just monitor the number of 'special draws' that are happening nowadays.
Its so scary - when you link the proceeds from such draws to this kind of acts to get Pakatan Rakyat lawmakers to switch sides and allow BN to form the state government.
Yes Sir,the government must ensure that the investigations are carried out without fear or favour. The young man's family needs it, the country needs it- many like me need it to keep our faith in the PM. Deepest sympathy for his family.

ReplyDeleteUMNO needs more prominent leaders like you and Tenkgu Razaeligh to prod the present UMNO to reform and change. Endemic corruption and abuse of power will only bring the nation down and perpetuate a downward spiral on all aspects including morality and ethics.
I am in despair again. When Kugan died I was distressed. No action yet despite it being a murder case. Now we have Teo's death. We have also read about 2 UMNO members from Pahang being roughed up and threatened in connection with so called money politics in the runup to the UMNO elections.This prove that there are mavericks in MACC that are not just not following the rules in ther line of work. Arrest the culprit or culprits responsible. They must be charged and face the full consequences of the law. The black sheep in the MACC and also the PDRM must be weeded out. The Chinese Malysians have made up their minds that MACC is guilty as hell. The PM should take charge and ensure the culprits are brought to book.

ReplyDeleteMalaysia needs leaders who will not let their personal interests & political affiliation determine what they believe is right or wrong. Thus, your principled stand is most commendable, and I support your call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate Mr. Teoh Beng Hock's death in (what seems, prima facie, to have been) custody.
Thank you also for not concluding that questioning the integrity and accountability of our government and law enforcement agencies is a racial attack on the community from which many of its officers come from. My apologies, Dato', for bringing up this old post of yours now, but that is exactly what you seem to have done, when you wrote about the response to the custodial death of A. Kugan.
