Malaysia Expects

ONE MALAYSIA EXPECTS UTMOST INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

I JOIN MILLIONS OF MALAYSIANS, IRRESPECTIVE OF RACE, CREED, COLOUR AND POLITICS IN EXTENDING MY HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF THE LATE MR TEOH BENG HOCK AND HIS BETROTHED. EVERY RIGHT THINKING MALAYSIAN IS SHOCKED OVER THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING HIS DEATH.

TO ESTABLISH THIS GOVERNMENT'S INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY, IT SHOULD FORM A ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY TO BRING EITHER THE PERPETRATORS OF THIS HEINOUS ACT TO JUSTICE OR ESTABLISH THE INNOCENCE OF PARTIES. I URGE ALL MALAYSIANS TO REMEMBER, THE LATE MR TEOH WAS SOMEONE'S SON, GRANDSON, BROTHER, COUSIN, NEPHEW, UNCLE, BETROTHED, FRIEND AND ALSO ONE OF US, A MALAYSIAN.

  3. Well said. We cannot accept law enforcement instituitions to be above the law and take sides to please their political masters. We want a fully independent Royal Commisssion to conclude this case for all Malaysians. This Minister Nazri is RUBBISH and not fit to be a Cabinet Minister.

  5. Thank you Sak, you have always shown yourself to be a man of honour, how I wish our leaders will follow your example.

...... and to think that the MACC was just on a fishing expedition, there was no need to question him until 3.45am, unless they want to extract something out from him which wasn't there in the first place!

  6. Dato Sak,

What the hell MACC and PDRM have become ? They are the disgrace of the country. Our civil servants just can't understand their role within a democratic society. So were those who supported the regime that practice cruelty. Don't you notice the double standard practice by our government agencies especially the above two, Dato?

Hence, what crab are u lecturing philosophically about reform undertaken by the current administration? Its fallacy to rock bottom of the elitist among bloggers.

  7. How can this nation move forward if people in power still think it is alright to commit such heinous crime? The MACC should be investigating that RM24 million Balinese Mansion but it did not. The MACC should investigate its own director's son on his continuous employment as a pilot in MAS despite being convicted in an Adelaide court for paedophile or child pornography, but they did not. Instead they do this.

How can we as a nation progress when mentality of people with power is all wrong?

  9. look out for more of such situations in Selangor - the target of the new UMNO state Chief.

MACC appears to be under orders from the very top (GOD?) to continue this approach with all Pakatn Rakyat ADUN's until some of them break up and agree to switch over to BN.

Just monitor the number of 'special draws' that are happening nowadays.

Its so scary - when you link the proceeds from such draws to this kind of acts to get Pakatan Rakyat lawmakers to switch sides and allow BN to form the state government.

  10. Yes Sir,the government must ensure that the investigations are carried out without fear or favour. The young man's family needs it, the country needs it- many like me need it to keep our faith in the PM. Deepest sympathy for his family.

  17. Sir,

I tabik you for being colour blind. Another young man died under a government agency. Not the first and won't be the last.

Wonder what it takes to put an end to this madness once and for all.

  18. I am really angry I can take down a tiger now... these crazy things have to stop for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Sanity must prevail and someone must take responsibility for what happened to Teoh.

  19. Dear Datuk Sak,

UMNO needs more prominent leaders like you and Tenkgu Razaeligh to prod the present UMNO to reform and change. Endemic corruption and abuse of power will only bring the nation down and perpetuate a downward spiral on all aspects including morality and ethics.

  20. I am in despair again. When Kugan died I was distressed. No action yet despite it being a murder case. Now we have Teo's death. We have also read about 2 UMNO members from Pahang being roughed up and threatened in connection with so called money politics in the runup to the UMNO elections. This prove that there are mavericks in MACC that are not just not following the rules in ther line of work. Arrest the culprit or culprits responsible. They must be charged and face the full consequences of the law. The black sheep in the MACC and also the PDRM must be weeded out. The Chinese Malysians have made up their minds that MACC is guilty as hell. The PM should take charge and ensure the culprits are brought to book.

In ten days there will be something new to be angry about and
Teoh and all that you have said will be forgotten!

  25. Dato,

    Anon Says,

"are u suggesting that for every death like this, a royal commission be set up?"

"Every Death Like This" is after Interrogation a person is found dead.

I think if you consider this to be Normal, you should be living in the Depths of Africa where a dead body is left on the street for weeks and nobody cares....

  26. In the 8 o'clock news, all the PM did was just to send his condolences. No word of assurance of a thorough investigation, nothing....

  27. My Deepest condolence.

I am sure that a great majority of Malaysians are sad over Teoh's death and held MACC accountable.

Unfortunately the powers-that-be are not on the rakyat's side.

Kuga, Teoh and many others. Oh yes, there was also a Jalil that "fell" to his death.

Would anybody want to be a witness in cases involving MACC? No not me. I am losing my trust in my government and some of their agencies.

    Dato Sak,

Aptly said & yes, an RCI needs to be established for that reason. We have lost a bright, talented & upcoming lawmaker coz he has gone too soon albeit a rather bizarre circumstance.

Bottomline, this will only erode people's confidence in MACC, Police & eventually 1Malaysia would retire as just another slogan that went awfully wrong.

Walla, it was a privilege to finally meet you in person. At least I hv a face to the name...

    Wassalam

  30. Will tok guru declare it haram to work in MACC. I hope he do that.

  31. His departure is indeed mysterious and most people are either shocked or speechless.

But calling for a royal commission is a futile move. I still don't get what's the fetish over royal commission over this and that. Police brutality.. we need commission... corruption... royal commission... Altantuya... commission...

Some faltered, some water-ed down version, some never see the daylight. But all has 1 commonality, it doesn't bring any changes and opposition will never be satisfied no matter what commission BN can think of.

  35. Dear Dato',

Malaysia needs leaders who will not let their personal interests & political affiliation determine what they believe is right or wrong. Thus, your principled stand is most commendable, and I support your call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate Mr. Teoh Beng Hock's death in (what seems, prima facie, to have been) custody.

Thank you also for not concluding that questioning the integrity and accountability of our government and law enforcement agencies is a racial attack on the community from which many of its officers come from. My apologies, Dato', for bringing up this old post of yours now, but that is exactly what you seem to have done, when you wrote about the response to the custodial death of A. Kugan.

    Sincerely,
    mh
