Malaysianesque Jim Hacker

James Hacker, our TV Prime Minister, on our mainstream media(press).

Hacker: Don't tell me about the press. I know exactly who reads the papers: the New Straits Times is read by people who think they run the country; Utusan Malaysia is read by people who think they ought to run the country; Berita Harian is read by people who actually do run the country; the Malay Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country; the Star is read by people who own the country; Utusan Melayu is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country; and Metro is read by people who think it is.

Sir Humphrey: Prime Minister, what about the people who read Panca Indera?
Bernard: Panca Indera readers don't care who runs the country, as long as she's got tits.

Those who have been in the UK will remember their SUN newspaper. The hottest part of the SUN is page three.

update: at 8pm. sakmongkol forgot to put the title. he is thankful that nasionalis has suggested the above title. thank you.

  2. What is our PM's favorite newspaper? Does anyone know? Or maybe he doesn’t read one at all. Or maybe someone else is reading it for him. He is too tired to hold it aloft. That’s why he doesn’t care enough to step down coz he doesn’t know what’s going on. The news read for him might be selective.

  3. This posting threw me into fits of laughter from which I have yet to recover properly. And I, sir, am not one who even reads newspapers!

Bloody hilarious! Exquisite touch of British humour.
