Faulty Reward System and Changeable Governments.

I encourage readers to ponder this. Look at UMNO. What is at work there? Who have risen to the top? The less gifted, the manipulator, the corrupting few.
That represents present day UMNO. It represents all the inequities and all the unfairness of a system. How so?
Like so; those who become successful are those with political connections, those who are willing to be corrupted by the system.
Those who worked hard, those who did well in school, those who played by the supposed rules did not.
The chief representative of this group, is Najib Razak. He is part of the corrupting system. Did not work hard at school. Ever willing to corrupt and be corrupted by the system.
Let’s look at another of his corrupting ways, perfecting a reward system that favours the politically connected, did not do well in school etc.
The building for our permanent representative to the UN is located in New York. Its address is 313 E 43rd St, New York, NY 10017, United States. It’s also near to the permanent mission buildings of several other countries- Dutch, Armenia and so forth. It’s also near the Westin Hotel New York.
The building housing our permanent representative to the UN will undergo massive renovation works very soon. It will be a multimillion Dollar project. Unfortunately it is nothing near the RM2.6 billion figure. That is a pity- it would have been a good source to profit and earn gargantuan commissions.
Guess who will be the contractor?
Even this chicken feed business does not escape the attention of PM Najib. This small business has been ordered to be given to the PM’s son in law, Daniyar Nazarbayev.  There was no tender, open or controlled open.  I hope this news is not true. If it were, it affirms how insatiable and rapacious Najib is.  Even small business he wants them all.
When Najib was there last September, the deal was inked. The whole building will be developed into a commercial complex. When the complex is redeveloped, the Malaysia permanent mission will get some floors while the rest will be owned by the developer- Daniyar Nazarbayev. The Malaysian developer style of business deal is applied; the developer gets 80%, the owner gets 20%.
Najib will continue to pillage the country in the name of Bumiputera economic agenda. How did Najib get to do this when the Indian Permanent Mission was not able to?
They were also planning to the same to their building. They were not getting the necessary approvals. Perhaps PM Modi did not play golf with Obama. Perhaps India does not have a Rosmah Mansor equivalent. Modi does not have a Daniyar Nazarbayev.
The people responsible for running New York must have been infatuated with the diplomatic skills of our Malaysian first couple.
On the other hand, I also hope this is not a sign of desperate times where our leaders grab everything while time permits. It reminds me of a previous tourism minister whose greed is legendary- even a RM40, 000 tender, was ordered given to a crony company. The same person asked a local born internationally known singer to bill the tourism ministry RM300,000 for the actual bill of RM150,000 if he wants the project. The singer refused.
But let us talk of a bigger issue- the fact that Najib appears to be able to do these nasty things, reflect badly on the character of the Malays.
Malays appear to condition themselves to accept as normal, things like corruption, abuse of power, executive tyranny. They accept being lied to, taken advantage of. These are signs of not a great people.
The greatest characteristic of a great people, is accepting that the responsibility of defining their own future lies in their own hands. Not so great people place blind trust in the hands of others, who in the end, invariably emerged disappointing.
Here is another side of Najib, the Malay hoi polloi, the lumpenproletariat- that unorganized and unpolitical lower orders of society who are not interested in revolutionary advancement,   do not know of. That side of Najib that will take advantage of positon, abusing it, leveraging on the office to secure benefits for himself and those people whom he wants to bestow.
He has convinced the Malays with the Closed Mind. Those Malays who thank God every day that UMNO is in power. Those Malays who allow Najib to do what he pleases in the name of the Malays who are unjustifiably touted as the race that is par excellence, past, present and future. It smacks of racial supremacy.
Those Malays who comfort themselves that because umno exists, their future is guaranteed. Those Malays who believe their destiny is better taken off by someone else. Those Malays who can never accept that responsibility of taking care of their own destiny lies in the own hands. The Malays who never understand that government is just an instrument with which they achieve their common good.
And that government can be shaped and perfected by them.

  2. With the price of real estate in downtown New York reaching stratospheric heights, this con-job development will be no chicken-feed.

Dato, pass your information to the Wall St Journal and the NY Times. Let them investigate and expose again our serially lying PM Najib and his govt of inveterate thieves. Keep up relentless pressure and he will be forced to quit soon.

  6. "Grab while you can" mentality is also occurring at the state level
e.g. bauxite mining near Kuantan resulting in serious heavy metal
(such as mercury) poisoning of the environment.

  8. Dear friend,

As has been said before, people get the leaders they deserve - and I would like to add this: the leaders get the rakyat they deserve too.

But no worry - with each passing day, the TPPA just like the GST and the so called subsidy rationalization episodes of theirs will bring the deserving rakyat to the realization that their continuation in blind submission to the tyrants shall only mean one thing: their own destruction. And if the TPPA is still unable to do the job well, the nation going bankrupt will be the final nail in the coffin.

There is no escape for the tyrants - whether they come in the form of leaders or the rakyat. It is just a matter of time...

  10. UMNO present day is the garbage bin of Malaysia. Every refuse and wastes are deposited there and it has been going on for more than 3 decades. So when you pick a leader from a garbage bin, you will get, garbage! Unluckily for us, this time around the Malaysian people picked by choice, excrement. And that's why Malaysia in wallowing in shit, nowadays. The Malays sure are "brilliant" when they picked their leaders but then again we are not known for our brain, right? So, statistically it's about time we picked an excrement as leader after going through a few "garbage"! The real question is this, what we we pick next?
