UMNO's Palace Intrigues and BNM's Unfolding Moves

So far the authorities have arrested 3 individuals in connection to 1MDB related issue. Bank Negara has put some sort of poster asking the public about the whereabouts of 2 employees. No doubt, BNM has alerted the police.
By putting up posters searching for people connected to the enterprise probably involving PM Najib, BNM is serving notice that it intends to disobey and defy Najib. Make it public so that Najib and his people will heed public awareness.
They were said to be connected to the 1MDB and SRC financial legerdemain. In simpler terms using defrauding skills to cause hidden, secretive financial sophistry intended for specific beneficiaries.
And these are all people on the side of Jho Low and Najib. Who’s having the real power now?
We can already speculate, the people arrested and remanded were induced to give confessions naming who ordered the money to be transferred, where the money went to and into whose account were the monies deposited. Down the line we can imagine people at Ambank will also be remanded to get written confession.  Maybe that has been done.
Suppose these things took place and will take place, the authorities- headed by the 4 tan sris are defying Najib. They must have a strong backer. Or they are finally motivated by righteous objectives.
I hear from sources that Najib and Zahid ordered the police to arrest or place under protective custody one fellow working at Putrajaya Holdings. He was duly placed so, but a few hours later was placed under the custody of the MACC.
Which means that Zahd and Najib’s order was countermanded. Which goes to show Najib is losing the battle. Nobody wants to comply with his orders.
His people has responded by suspending The Edge, by barring access to Sarawak Report, by producing a b-grade video confession by a Sarawakian of dubious character and by diverting our attention to a sideshow starring Xavier Justo.
These are mere diversionary tactics.
All these cannot erase the fact that 1MDB cannot account or more than RM20 billion, is still saddled by a loan and bond obligation of RM46 billion, still can’t sell the Tabung Haji land. All these cannot erase the fact that RM2.6-2.7 billion went into Najib’s account and RM42million of public money was illegally transferred into his private account.
These sideshows deserve only scant interest. Ignoring them is a better choice.
Please remember SRC is a 100% owned company of MOF a ministry of the government. The money it has is public money. Public money has been transmitted through 2 companies- gerbang mentari dan ihsan perdana into Najib’s private account. Notwithstanding the existence and horseback-riding of the 2 companies, public money has been caused to go into Najib’s personal account.
Come out with any convoluted argument, media sophistry and whatever else thinkable by Najib and his handlers- the fact remains public money has been transferred into your personal account. That is a wrong in itself.
Regarding the transfer of around RM2.6-27 billion from external sources through falcon bank and tanore finance into his private account, the PM has many things to answer. What is the source of the money? Hot money that has travelled the world now coming back to the originator? The accumulation of kickbacks, commissions, false invoicing, plain embezzlement, money from drugs, drink and prostitution- now making their way into the person most responsible- the finance minister cum PM?
If this is part of international money laundering, it will involve many authorities of seral countries. Perhaps the transaction has violated the AMLA or its equivalent in the US. Perhaps it has violated similar laws in Singapore.
Here’s one worrying thing. Singapore known for its obsession with integrity has vowed to come absolutely clean about all transactions involving 1MDB. Suppose now, the MAS comes out with damaging and incriminating transactions in violation of banking laws subscribed by all central banks and monetary authorities of the word, where will that place Bank Negara and squeaky clean Zeti Akahtar Aziz- bank governor soon to resign or cashiered?
Singapore has alerted BNM months ago but BNM has not acted on the information given. Now, if it’s discovered than BNM and its governor are complicit in an elaborate plan to deceive the public, our whole banking and financial system’s integrity will be utterly damaged.
BNM has no other choice but to come out clean before the Monetary Authority of Singapore does.

  1. BNM deliberately closing 1 eye, or havings its authority over-ridden by successive PM and/or Finance Ministers is something that has been going on for the last 30 years. Otw, hundreds of billions of ringgit could not have disappeared from our monetary system without question or trace.

To the list of charges Najib must face when sooon brought to court will be, gross abuse of executive power! That was what Anwar was first convicted of, based on the uncorroborated testimony of a lone police officer!

  3. Let's not be diverted from the main core issue of the billions stolen from 1mdb and the subsequent channelling of the loot to the chief.
Snake oil peddlers in the guise of cabinet ministers are talking like village fools trying to hoodwink the people to buy cock and bull stories.

As for the arrests made, its hoped that the task force has found its conscience in steadfastly doing a good job strictly in compliance with the laws of the land. However, there is a possibility that there may be a repeat of Altantuya in that the mastermind and his chief lieutenant were contrively omitted only to hang the poor foot soldiers.

  4. It's surprising Malays are prepared to mortgage their reputation, dignity and even their fathers reputation just to save Najib's skin. Is it worth it. Of course I don't care about the IGP. He is a kaki-tiga according to Kadir Jasin.
I am questioning the Bank Negara Governor.
Does she need to be a scum to protect her job?
The Japanese and Koreans have more integrity than Malay leaders (whose show of morality and patriotism is in giving sermons.)

  6. Now I would like to pose a question to the opposition and Najib's enemies inside Umno.Since Mahathir joined in the fun many months ago,how far or really how close are you guys in getting Najib out?

Najib has been ignoring, waving and shrugging you guys off.But you guys misread that as a sign of weakness. And in the process the attackers have been getting over confident and complacent, thinking that they were going in for the kill.

When Najib has been sleeping soundly and happily like a baby, you guys have to go tickle his balls and wake him up.And now he is angry and screaming, and I am hearing you guys crying in the background. It is never good to wake up a sleeping giant.Wait till Najib started waving his "big stick".Then you guys will be screaming and wailing like crybabies for your mamas. You guys can bet your last penny on it.The worst is yet to come.

  7. Dato Sak,

I regret to have to totally disagree with your opinion in this article. I think all these arrests are just to scare the shit out of these 4 people (or 10) as not to reveal anything. And to calm the people as though something is being done....

The 4 members of the Special Task Force all have their own skeletons in the cupboard. No way they will risk that and their pensions too. Soon, Rafizi Ramli, Tony Pua, Tong Kooi Ong, and many of the top critics (including you Dato) will be in Kamunting for a 2-year remand without trials.... There will more than 150 of you this time...

The Edge Group is down... soon too will be Sarawak Report, then TMI, Malaysiakini and Malaysia-Chronicle, Outsyed the Box and Sakmongkol AK47.... even Din Merican's Blog....

Najib is going to take all these down and knock them out for 2-3 years... he will rule by fiat, just like his father did with the NOC post-May 13...

Tun Mahathir will just have to quieten down if he doesn't want any of his children disturbed.

    Long Live the emperor...

p/s I just checked, my passport still has more than 6 months validity... and my Aussie PR still valid....

  8. Zahid has come out and is talking tough.I think he wants the hide of Claire Rewcastle. And this samseng is very serious and not joking.

This last few days a lot of damning information have been coming out.Sensing a raid or an arrest the CEO Ho of the Edge surrendered the stolen documents to the authorities.Tony Pua being barred from travelling abroad has admitted meeting Claire Rewcastle many times in London,Singapore and Indonesia. And now Tong and Ho have admitted buying and cheating Justo out of the stolen documents by not paying him.So far we haven't heard much from Rafizi. This group of people have more or less admitted that they were in this conspiracy together.

This is the main excuse that the gomen has been patiently waiting for.To clamp down heavily on the main culprits or players in this game of cat and mouse.Definitely Tony Pua,Rafizi,Tong and Ho will be arrested soon. And they will be charged and tried in court. And it is not going to be 2-3 years,10,20 or even 50 years, most probably.Dato Sak do not have to listen to Firestone. As long as you are a blogger and not involved in this conspiracy, you are safe and going nowhere.

  9. As it is, BNM knows that Najib is finis and will not let him drag them further down the road to Sg. Buloh.

However, Najib may play his last card when all hopes to remain as PM is lost. He may declare a state of emergency ...

  10. Another chap playing wayang kulit is his brother Nazir. He comes up with sensational statements now and then just to save his neck and his business knowing fully well that once big brother is down and out, that would be the end of him too.

  11. This is all Tun M's fault and legacy. Surrounded himself with sycophants and yes men. Little tolerance for other people's ideas. Therefore left Malaysia with leaders with no integrity, no vision, and who are gangsters and warlords.
