Speak Up and Speak Out

An NGO calling itself Pemantau Media Sosial Pasukan Semut Malaysia aka SEMUT has made a police report against an article I wrote recently. The action was reported here and here.
It’s not easy to be an organisation to survey the blogging landscape, reading and identifying articles that offend the political sensibilities of the political masters. Imagine the intellectual and cerebral skills, wisdom, temperament and dexterity required to come to a decision as to which articles and writings are to be hauled up and then, belabour the already stretched and extended resources of our law enforcing agencies.
What else can you describe the action taken by this omnipotent and omniscient NGO- COMMANDING the police to investigate the said article and countless other articles by many others and try to pigeonhole them under various yet-to-be identified headings of legal wrongs?
Awesomely imbecilic.  It’s akin to shoot first, justify later.
It’s tiresome to even narrate it!
My article was said to incite the people to hate the government. The complainants also said I advocated street protests. The complainants asked the police to investigate and analyse the said offending article.
Fuuh- what a mouthful. Asking the police to investigate the article under any rules and laws. Polis takde kerja lain kah depa ingat. Asyik nak menganalisa blog, tweeter dan facebook.
Lucky I don’t operate tweeter and facebook. Tried tweetering but found it too taxing. Gave it up a long time ago. Facebook?  Gave up also.
I ended the article by saying that once we have federal power we don’t need the King to free Anwar.
The chief complainant, a chap by the name of Zaparudin looks bright enough to understand the article which was written in English. Moreover, if he has gone through our ‘world class’ education system and knows a thing or two, he will also understand what I meant when I said, once we have federal power, we don’t need the King to free Anwar. So I don’t have to explain that to him.
We shan’t even broach the subject of the freedom of speech. We are only exercising our inalienable right to speak out and speak up, offering fair comments on the burning issues of the day. All within the law of course.
Now, if the way we deliver our articulation, offends some GOONS- Guardians Of OUR Nation’s Soul, we are afraid, we can’t offer them our apologies.

  1. SEMUT is Huan Cheng Guan's outfit after GE13. Zaparudin is just an online product seller who also made a police report about what Mariam Mokhtar wrote one month ago about non-Muslims' use of Allah.

The man's an ass. I can think of him like another "butter boy".

  2. Saw the news report this morning. Its nauseating to see people going around the internet and labelling articles as 'menghasut', when there are loads of articles on mainstream newspapers are the ones that really seditious in nature. These people like the SEMUT guy doesn't really know what menghasut is.
And you may not be bale to say it, but I think he doesn't understand what that last sentence of the said article meant. He thought you are calling for people to topple the govt and king via street demo. or worse, he pretend not to understand. Nak bertanding ketua pemuda mana2 bahagian tu kut...

  3. It is now "your turn", Dato' to be targeted. They are now trying to disqualify as many Pakatan MPs as possible so that they can get the re-alienation of election boundaries bill passed. This is their "only" & "guaranteed" lifeline to retain power. This has been UMNO's main strategy all this while - purposely create problems in the country so that Pakatan MPs will inevitably fall into the sedition trap.

Of course, their backup plan is to break up Pakatan.

Always be guided by the above two points when sensitive or contentious issues crop up.

Going forward, Pakatan MPs should try to adopt the specialty of Grandmaster Najib...by keeping quiet.

  5. I was delightfully waiting in anticipation to your response to that nincompoop. All I can think is, he was just trying to do something for UMNO and get into the news. Otherwise nobody would know him.
Now these NGOs have to look for singular words and short phrases in the haysack and then command UMNO-friendly police to investigate the Opposition.
Our UMNO-friendly police too have descended to such a new low that even idiots and morons can order it to investigate this and that.

  6. Dato, our special branch was once upon a time, one of the best in the world.Because of political meddling,it's standards of gathering intelligence have fallen a few notches.

Now this brainless dude wants the police to investigate into political bloggers.Does he not know that criminals are running loose on the streets in broad daylight like horny dogs. Why?Because the police are used to monitor opposition politicians.Maybe this fool needs to get screwed by the horny dogs before he come to his senses.

  7. Dato, nowadays very difficult to cari makan in the same way that the rakyat have done for centuries ... i.e. get a decent job for decent pay to put food on the table. The easiest way to cari makan is to form an NGO that champion something that some people will use the rakyat's money to pay ...... and then make as much noise as possible to attract the attention of these paymasters.

The worse trouble you are in, the better the NGO will be paid. So, if you end up in prison with the keys thrown away, the NGO will become instant millionaire.

So, give chance la, Dato. The fella in the NGO kena cari makan la.

  9. Dato Sak, it's a tragedy of our education system, imbeciles who lack the ability to understand Engish, written and verbal.
And now ordering PDRM to investigate the article and the writer because they thought it was like this and not like that.

I sincerely believe the PDRM should sue that NGO for wasting their precious time.
