Some privacy please

Some development in my private life has unfortunately leaked to the public. It has been sensationalized beyond what it truly is. The embellishment by a particular tabloid is not true. We are working the problem out in the proper manner according to the laws of our religion. We are working things out.

Notwithstanding these things, I hope the reading public should not overlook the issues I raised in my articles. I will continue to do so. I apologize for this unfortunate development but I hope the public will respect my privacy and that of my family who are dealing with this matter in a delicate manner.

Thank you very much.

  1. Dear Sak

Yes indeed. You and your family must have the privacy.
It's no business of us to go there.
It does not serve anyone any good.
We are only interested in your political comments.
    Please write as usual.

  9. Dear Datuk,
I have always looked forward to your articles which are fair and to the point.
I am aorry that your privacy has been invaded, and hope that the public will not probe further into your private life. However, people enjoy gossip and minding other people's business.

  11. Dear Dato Sak,

Your wish is duly respected. May you get through this difficult and delicate tests.

For all its intent and purpose, it came from a paper which the parent company think that they are the Malay Guardian - but guess what - they arent!

What a bloody shame - and if you read the Star (I know - my Chinese friends said that they are full of lies - but they havent read the Malay paper to truly understand the rotten state of our journos - or their souless editor in chief), and go to their digest of other newspaper daily - these idiotic news made the summary page from this Malay newspaper.

If I were a foreigner reading this particular section daily, I will get the impression that one segment of the population is clueless, bumbling idiots. Well, maybe too harsh - but you get my gist.

My pet peeves reading Malay newspaper is that they are devoid of truly intellectual content. If someone died in any accident, the mandatory question is "ada tak dia buat perangai yang pelik?"

Or, anything our of the ordinary is always "misteri" or "ajaib".

Or something that cant be explained is always "pelik tapi benar"

No attempt to explain, rationalize or debate.

Maybe they tried - but no one buy the newspaper then. There - the state of the Malay mind, or the state of the people trying to control the mind?

    Melayu Baru.

  13. Dato', let me just do this in BM for the benefit of the illiterates:

mana-mana juak dan balaci politik yg taknak kerja betul-betul, yg hanya mangharap kena suap, yg selalu nak menangguk projek dan komisen, puak-puak ni lah yg tengah berkenduri sekrg. Suku kaum ni bukannya paham "ad hominem" pun. Kalau paham pun, tapi selective lah sikit. Cuba kalau Dato' ni bagi suap kat diaorang, mesti sanggup defend dato'sampai mati punya lah

  16. Don't worry, it happens to all Muslims, especially the "warak" ones, "the sembahyang yang tidak tinggal tinggal's" ones.

Solve it, then it will be o.k.

    Normal ones. O.k, NP.

  17. Dear Sir,

I hop eyou will get through this difficult period. I love your writings and am not interested in your private matters.

On the other hand, if I recall correctly, you did mentioned before in your writings about the affairs a former minister and his sexploits.

People living in glass houses should not throw stones.

My stand is still the same. Private matters involving cupid is strictly a personal matter.

  18. Tuan,
I have been reading your blog for a long time. I have not heard of you when you were ADUN.
Now that your wife of 30 years wants a divorce. She suspects that you are having an affair with someone.Your private life is susceptible to public scrutiny.Don't hide behind any notion of privacy. In Malaysia, we are always under seige. The authorities are always watching us or spying. Then again Islam allows polygamy. A good wife should stand by her man.Every muslim woman should accept the fact that polygamy is legal. So it is hard for anyman to face when his own wife suspecious of him. May Allah guide you both.

Be strong. I agree, everyone has personal lives and it should be kept private. It for sure will not undermine your ideas and constructive criticism in your postings.

Please do keep posting when the time is right for you. Like many things, this too will pass.

  21. Dato',

It is a sad commentary on our society that private affairs become fair game for the mass media.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this trying time.

  23. Dato', I think most of us were actually in the dark about this issue until you mentioned it. I went to your wife's blog and read what she had to say. It is indeed heart-wrenching to see both of you going thru this troubled period, even though I have never met either of you. May the force be with you.

  24. dato sak;

go on the offensive! but first look at the bright side. there is no better proof that you're now taken seriously when people (and I bet UMNO people) are now hitting you below the belt. when they lose an argument most weak minded people's last resort is always to hit below the belt.

and since it's quite obvious that your weakness (as most people are too!) are below the belt literally speaking, the only way to defend is by an attack. and it's so easy with umno big guns. probably every one of them have dirts on their dicks!

go get a PI and find out the skeletons in their closets...keep these to yourself and only shoot them as and when needed...

having said all that...look at it this way. we live on this earth only once. live it to the fullest. good luck!

Yes, private matters should remain private.

We value your idea, thought and insight on Malaysian politics.

Keep up the great work !

  26. Dato Sak

One point needing your clarification. You said, "It must begin, by laying the foundations that ensure, on a higher probability, that good people will emerge. It must be system that incorporate the principle of rewarding those with better intelligence and ability, better. "

Agreed!! But does that statement limits itself to only Malays, or open to ALL Malaysians??? The politics of today and the race-colored civil service do not lend your vision of a future Malaysia to encompass all MALAYSIANS.

Is Malay-CENTRICITY in our political life a problem to your vision , as most non-Malays think so?

Or the fear of "Malaysian Malaysia" which has spooked UMNO for the last 40 years?

The emergence of Perkasa and its popularity among the Malays only confirm that the above two circumstances over ride all other considerations, including your expectations of a future, more efficient and well-managed nation.

Your privacy is sacrosanct. You deserve, as we all are, our privacy and it should have nothing to do with our public life.

The attack dogs in the mainstream media are out for blood. There is much to be said about our govt control press.

  30. Dato,

Even an alleged criminal of murder and adultery suspect would have his family wife and daughter wearing T-shirts which imprinted - "Proud of you".

Yet he walked out the court scot free!

What is the big deal with your private life it's something to do with religious way which can be settled?!

We are not all the snoop squad they would only be interested with your private life.

    Who others care?!

Keep up with your righteous and the guts of telling the spade is a spade, we are always with you!

    Cheers!

your private life does not impede on how you think for malaysia and therefore of inconsequence to us. Anyway its none of our damn business. but i do like your wife via her blog though even though i do not know her personally. God bless

  32. Dato Sak, my sincerest best wishes that your family are able to find an honourable resolution to family matters with dignity. It is unfortunate that newspapers are open to salacious gossip; through your writings you have become a political web celebrity, and in our time the crab syndrome you described in an earlier posting works its way through the press also. Your postings are an example to other politicians and would-be politicians. With regards,
    Uppercaise

  33. Saya dok baca blog ni hampir setiap posting. Kadang-kadang saya linked dlm blog saya.

Datuk lagi tau apa nak buat.

Saya setuju sangat dengan kata2 kawan saya yg selalu jugak saya belanja saya minum, A Voice, "Our religion demand that we maintain that respect for each other."

Mudah2an petunjuk dan kasih sayang Allah swt kepada Datuk dan keluarga.
