While the external elements change, the core beliefs of UMNO remain intact and that is where our loyalty and allegiance gravitate.

Kadang-kadang kelahi, kadang-kadang baik. Juga seperti perkahwinan lama. You feel comfortable though the blanket is frayed and no longer provides the warmth.
Boleh di-ibaratkan seperti air dicincang, takkan putus.
Carik-carik bulu ayam tercantum juga akhirnya.
Saya teringat seorang bekas menteri pernah memberitahu saya Umno ni macam-macam ada (macam Astro pulak). Ada kaki judi, ada kaki botol, ada kaki betina, ada kaki masjid. That makes it interesting.
Itulah keistimewaan orang Umno.
Saya sentiasa berpegang kepada kata-kata; better the devil you know than the angel you don't know.
I had a good life and I want my descendants to have a more better life. Who can provide it if not Umno?
I am a fixed deposit of Umno. Proud to be one.
I will take Umno anytime, warts and all.
Betul saudara mengatakan kita sepatut melihat pilihanaraya kecil ini sebagai mengesahkan kepimpinan DS Najib.
Pengundi Melayu HS mesti mengundi BN untuk mejayakan transformasi negara yang Najib ingin bawa.
Memang Umno is not perfect. But with radical changes within, Umno will forever be the party of choice for Malays.
Hidup Umno. Hidup Melayu.

Why did Zaid join, then leave UMNO ?

Because he felt the same as you; that inti perjuangan UMNO adalah mulia.

But why did he leave UMNO ?

Because UMNO today is no more UMNO of before.

Kenapa pula Melayu mesti bergantung harapan keatas pemimpin Umno?

Get with it. Your competition is not here. Its from outside the country!

I chose the wrong word "had a good life." Should be considerably good or comfotable life.
Life like other regular Malays - enough food and clothing, a house and a Proton car.
    Praise be to Allah.

    Richard Cranium
I am talking about the Malays in general. Menaruh harapan sahaja. Hopes. Not relying fully on Umno.
Hey, majority of Malays did not get anything from Umno.
Take the case of JPA scholarships. MIC and MCA do help the rejected students to appeal in getting the scholarships. Umno did not.
And I know of many poor students with straight As who did not get the scholarships.
Umno is just a symbol of strength, of unity. To put it simply, an umbrella for the race.
Many Malays are successful overseas too. We have Malays working overseas like in NASA, Silicon Valley. UN etc.
Many have stayed overseas for more than 20 years and are acknowledged as capable workers.

  13. Dato,

Hamba memahami rintihan isi hati tuan hamba.

Mungkin pengalaman PAS tahun 80an dulu boleh kita ambil contoh bagaimana segelintir pemimpin PAS revolted against Arwah Dato' Asri.

  14. Dear anonymous,

Whatever said and done, I must say say that UMNO does deliver. And that nobody can deny.

At height of its political supremacy ( once UMNO controlled almost 70% of political seats in Parliamrents), It still cars for non Malays. It could have easily controlled everything but it did not.

It stands by its allies MCA and MIC despite PAS telling the Malays that it is "Haram" to vote for non Muslim candidate. At least UMNO is not hipocrite.

UMNO of course does have its own weaknesses. Just like PAS or DAP or PKr We are human . Yes there are sons of rich Malay given scholarship.

But so are people from very humble background. i know as my father was inclined to PAs but I still was given scholarship. My father in law was then a labourer. He could not have afforded my wife's education in Canada.

Problem with Malay community is that we often assume rich Malays as corrupt. Not all of them are corrupt. If I were to be in power, definitely I would help my people.

What is wrong about that. Why on earth Guan Eng become Penang CM? Because his father is Kit siang. In 'Father and son' co, nobody except Kit Siang dynasty is good enough. Do not you think it is weirds trhat Penang DAP Chairman was not given Penang CM post?

Azizan becomed Kedah MB as he is PAS State Commisioner. Hassan is UMNO NS Chief . So, naturally he becomes NS MB as UMNO won the state. But why Guan Eng becomes Penang CM ?

The Muslim position In Malaysia is just like that of Ottoman Empire in the last century. Be careful of what people promise you.

We often like to blame UMNO for our predicament. what about us? what we have done to better ourselves?

As for PAS, it has become the allies of the enemy of Malays.By becoming slaves for DAP, it is destroying the very foundation of PAS.

PAS like to mock BN as UBN-meraning UMNO is in control. We should be happy as at least Malay is in control. What about PR or shall we dcall it DAP-PR. The truth is that DAP controls PR.

You love UMNO beyond yourself. You are as devoted as some commentators. You see no flaw in UMNO's struggle. The struggle is each to his own.
The corrupt culture has gone to its core. Mahathir recently admitted it.Many seem to be oblivious to that.Cancer kills from within.None has seen cancer cells with our naked eyes.
Drinking alcohol is a major sin in Islam. It is a past- time for many in Clubs and Hotels.Muhyidin just realised it is immoral after having been in UMNO all his life.
MIC is full of drunkards. V.K.K, Subra and ilk are known. Now UMNO is campaigning for MIC guy who also consumes the stuff. Somebody here also asked you to confess. I think that is unnecessary. You are not the candidate here.
UMNO's survival is not in this by-election.You have to reform UMNO first.Kill the cancer cells.

The UMNO/BN gang has no brains, no leadership to steer the country in the direction.

They squander all our money + petronas money to buy submarine, jetfightters, helicopters and arms at inflated price so that they can pocket kickbacks.

They conveniently forget about the Rakyat due to their focus on lining their own pockets while many of our kampong folks are still living in poverty.

Ayuh!!!! Saudara ku, membujur lalu melintang patah dan buat lah perubahan. ALLAH juga yang maha berkuasa.

Well said. Umno do care, flawed or otherwise. Many of our top corporate people were poor and had benefitted from a good education. They are giving it back to society.

You said "Memangpun orang China mengundi PAS sebab DAP bergabung dalam PKR.

I voted PAS in my area because I despise Umno/MCA/MIC more.

Being a typical chicken-shit, fence-sitting Chinese myself, I am actually rooting for Pakatan to succeed. This is the kind of fan-base that Barisan would love to have, no?

BN wants me to think that PAS equates to chopping hands, no alcohol, no pork, no gambling.

I think the Umno Malay psyche needs an overhaul -- alcohol, pork, and gambling do not a Chinese make. Umno is still using antiquated issues to try to scare the Chinese into submission.

The KEY thing a Chinese person thinks a lot about is a place to make a living and bring up their young in relative safety and comfort. And education and career plays a big part in that.

Solve this scourge of the politicised national schools, and I betcha BN will win every election from now till forever.

But no, every darn Malay Education Minister (Anwar included) since the days of Mahathir has tinkered with and botched up the system beyond repair. The Chinese feels only a change of system will help the nation become better for all, and yes, including Malays.

Now, why won't you Malays want to be part of that? Instead of supporting a bunch of selfish, self-important politicians, why won't you vote for a change?

Can't you see the system is broken?

Muhyiddin nampak jelas sikit.

  29. Shamsul,

Wow... you guys got scholarships and for that you say UMNO is super duper. Your wife able to go to Canada too.

So UMNO is only for you two?

Whose money was spent to send you two overseas with scholarships a thousand better qualified Malaysians were denied/

When you talk about a party never never take your own example as reason. Remember for every one of you who gets it, a thousand are denied. What would those denied, of all races say to you?

Another thing, just look at the performance of Lim Guan Eng. Can you even dare to bring forward another CM or MB that is performing better than him? He turned deficits in Penang to huge surplus ... all without Federal help which only gave them pittance like 500K for tourism.

You are just blind to what is going on and put words into others mouth that PKR controlled by DAP!

That is one of the most stupid observation I have ever come across. If you say UMNO controls every component of the BN I would certain agree because evidence are all there EVERYDAY.

Tell us ONE instance that make you say DAP controls PKR? So hold your tongue if you are unable.

The trouble is many guys are that they only want to go back to the good old days when they get everything just because of their skin color and care little about who put that food and money on the table to go overseas on the table.

We call these kind .. rent seeker.

Ya.. expect others to earn and these guys get 67% just waiting beside the table.

This question shows up your ignorance. But if you fess up, then all is good and I am happy for you. But if you persist in taking on a position not based on fact, then you are propagating a untruth that repeated often enough, you fool yourself thinking it to be the whole truth.

Do your nation a favour. Read about the DAP yourself. Read about Karpal. Or maybe, Lim Guan Eng.

Don't take second-hand gossip, rants, and innuendoes that your political masters feed you. If you are honest with yourself, you will realise that a lot of your thinking is not your own, but brain-washed into you by your political masters you uphold so highly.

    This is 2010 data.

What it means is that the Gomen gives RM 1 for scholarhships and RM 50 to cronies (how just multiply by a 3.5% interest rate, amort prinicpal and all) . This is an unsustainable policy and there wont be enough for the children of tomorrow.

  33. Dato sahab.
Saya nak wat sedikit komen secara ringkas saje. Wat seketika bayangkan UMNO sebagai orang tua kita. Contoh.

In my kampong there are many rich malays, owning big big cars. All I know many of them have children inclined to UMNO and are getting extras. But in return what social obligation does rich malays give to their folks. I know of one rich malay who happens to be my relative. He does nothing for us instead whenver he comes back for hoidays at home he will brag that he is getting millions of ringgits worth of projects from the govt. Jus brag but no social obligations. The same goes to all the rich malays. So if you are contending that you are HAPPY TO SEE RICH MALAYS rather then other races. WHATS THE POINT. At least other races rich do businesses and give job opportunities to everyone unlike your kind who are rich but keep their riches to themselves. They are scared of losing their ill gotten riches. So they just pass by you in their BIG MERCEDES without giving any benefit to their own. I don't want to have such malays. Biar lah orang lain kaya asalkan mereka membahagikan kekayaan kepada masyarakat setempat. Itu di namakan 'Fardu Kifayah'. I guess Shamsul, you are one of these malays.
Oh. Before I forget, Look at all the rfilthy rich malays from UMNO. Mahathir, Daim etch. What have they done. They are still robbing the country using all kinds of Institutions for their benfit.
