The Boys day out.

Our son Hakim, hasn’t been back for 2 years. So when he came back last Friday, it was a special occasion for all of us- especially the missus, our own Mamasita.

We traveled all the way from Kuantan that Friday morning to fetch him at the KLIA. We brought our two boys, his younger brothers, Seth and Harris along. Its now the school holidays, and Seth has completed his SPM. He is a student at MRSM Muadzam in Pahang. Harris did his PMR and hopefully he to will go to a boarding school like Seth.

Hakim is a software engineer, majoring in Games technology. He graduated from Liverpool John Moores University two years ago and has been working for a company doing contract work for the BBC in Liverpool.

Mamasita has already written a blog about Hakim’s return to Malaysia. It is her Christmas present this year. I shant tell you what took place at the airport on Friday. Let Mamasita tell you the story.

On Saturday, we took our boys for some shopping at One Utama and went for Japanese food at The Curve. Our family enjoys eating Japanese especially our youngest boy, Harris. As a treat, we put up the boys at Eastin Hotel while Mamasita and I stayed at our eldest’s place in Palm Springs, KL.

Our trip to the curve wouldn’t be complete without spending inordinately long time at Borders. It has been a favourite haunt of mine since it opened. Here are some of the photographs of the children and I. Mamasita chose the photo of I and the boys to ensure it emphasised my prosperous waistline. She on the other hand is surrounded by the men in her life.

  3. Salam Datuk,
For once I thought they were posing with their sister.
So proud to hear that Hakim is a software engineer. Who would have thought there was such a job during our time? Becoming an engineer was big enough ambition and hoping to work with JKR as the only probable employer.
Happy new year to you and your family.

  8. Tq, for this particular entry. We live for moments like this, those little pleasures earned by celebrating every new day. Tahniah, sodara Sak.

  9. Dato' Sak,

Part of the things I miss as an only boy in the family is ... having no one to ... err... fight with. Am not sure if thats a boon or a disadvantage. Your boys look well-behaved enough. Don't they bertumbuk at all? Yes I know nowadays you can let off steam by zapping evil galactic drones from Nebula-X with photon phasers but ah ... no lah. One stern ogle from that inexorable mamasita stare will send the boys scurrying faster than they can spell "Well-behaved!"

There's this latest comment from a certain Karl in Germany in 3 previous post. He says,

"So forget this nonsense about "genes" and the bell curve. It has no scientific ground. This "intelligence psychologists" have an agenda which you don't want to support, I hope, and as a German I know them very, very well. Our country and culture was in ruins after we allowed those thoughts and people to gain ground. "

Ahah! I think we both know exactly what Karl is talking about. Correct me if I am wrong, but Ernst Zundel was castrated because he doesn't comply with this agenda, no? Or am I talking the exact opposite here? Anyway, you don't have to reply if that would put you into jeopardy, Karl. I used to be a firm believer in this eugenics stratifications until I realized this "agenda" you were talking about, plus the fact that it doesn't fit in with an all-loving, all-encompassing God.

    Apocryphalist

  10. Oops! I am sorry. Reading again, I realize that Karl's use of the past tense "was" convince me that I am probably talking exactly opposite to what he actually means. Apologies. But errr... that thing about Victors writing history ... probably explains certain things too, no?

    :-)

  13. Apocryphalist said... I am probably talking exactly opposite to what [Karl] actually means.

can't blame you for misconstruing. they are both two sides of the same egotistical evil coin... those "sieg-heilers" - the ones in recent german history whom karl probably meant and the ones who since then have guilt-tripped and neutered the present day germans into silencing their own, zundel, for daring to ask for a rational recount of the big holohoax numbers.

in truth, opposite a pointing index are almost always three fingers pointing backwards. the holohoaxers have honed playing the victim to an artform, hiding the fact that they are unholy elitists who have always considered themselves as superior to the rest of mankind. calling themselves chosen, they seem to regard everyone else as fair game to their bloody schemings in order to gratify their unquenchable greed for overt wealth and covert power.

p.s. on this awal muharram, may God have mercy on those they continue to savage.

  15. Salam Dato' Sak,

The post did answer to my curiosity, who do Tok Sak and Mamasita look like.

Datin especially must be joyfully happy seeing Kim after two years, and so is everybody.

    Salam Maal Hijrah and Wassalam.

  16. Datuk, having the family together to bring in 2009 augurs well for you and yours. I was to be in Bahamas to be with my daughter and her three boys, but as they always say: Man proposes God disposes. But I suppose HE knows best.

The best 2009 to you, mamasita and the boys (who is the eldest at Palm Springs?).Just my old inquisitive self.

apocryphalist- mamasita and i were reminiscing yesterday, when our boys were younger, the older ones would always tak melawan bila si adik debuk yang tua. dont know why- maybe because like you said- a stern ogle fromm mamasita. in my own family, we used to fight with each other..haha.

hansac- yelah- sekarang i am reduced to a mere spectator watching muay thai. haha.

piggy singh- thank you for your wishes. we wish you well too.

  18. One of the greatest mysteries in life;

How come all the fat, sloppy & ugliest looking guys always ended up with the most gorgeous looking radiant spouses? And to thrown in (what 7?) smart looking kids. Well Dato, u can thank your lucky star, old chap! You’ll never walk alone, but I with the other mob, the Toffees.

It’s always Heart warming to see happy family snapshots.

    Cheers,
    Unker Tommy

P.S – Al Nimr; it that Arabic for ‘The Nymph’. Pardon my ignorance.

  19. tok sak,

my apologies! i was indulging in a bit of leg-pull. i was at the borders in my neck of the woods, not the one in kl.

no way i'd not let yr lovely tin knows via email if i were to be back in town. number now safely stored in my sim. i'm so touched by the kind gesture. thanks, tok sak!

  20. Unker Yew,

Al-Nimr stands for "The Claws"...watch out ah.

  21. Fat and sloppy Unker Yew? Hope you are not meaning Dato' Sak. Shoulda seen him when he was a Teruna. I bet lots of girls then drooled over him, and potong jari I if mamasita wasn't one of them, except that she was the better of those droolers. Just that our ibu mithali here maintain her statistics throughout the years while our illustrious dato' couldn't help but have to manifest their ... prosperity ... via being very healthy.

    Did somebody mention P. Ramlee?
