The PM
likes to thump his chest to say he is PM to all. He will say that whenever he is away from the
UMNO crowd. When he is among the brethren, he will sound the most xenophobic of
all Malays. he is the same person now as he was when he unleashed the Kris to
say, this will bathe in Chinese blood. So why should Chinese, Christians and non-Christians
even want to believe him? Can you believe a PM who even debases himself to
declare officially open a public toilet?
He is the
same person, who says we will defend what is ours to the last drop of his
blood. The PMship, the government, the seat at Putrajaya do not belong to him.
They belong to the rakyat.
A PM of the
people does not go around saying, you help me, I help you. A PM of the people
helps those around him because it is his duty, he is duty-bound and he helps
because he can. He does not help because he expects some reciprocity not even
the utterance of thank you. If he does and demand that, then we have an
insincere and untrustworthy PM. This kind of PM deserves only our rejection.
Everyone
else if he/she becomes PM, is PM for all. That kind of declaration isn’t
Najib’s to monopolize. If Anwar becomes PM, he is PM of all. if Tengku
Razaleigh is PM, he is PM to all. anyone who is PM is PM for all.
Will the
rakyat vote for him and his party? On vote for UMNO means a vote and
endorsement for continued corruption, extending misrule and unaccountability,
belaboring under discretionary rule. A vote for UMNO means continued pillage
and plunder of our economy. A vote for UMNO means a vote for dictatorship and a
concentration of power in the hands of one person. One vote for UMNO means you
are giving a license for Rosmah Mansor to shop until our treasury coffers is empty.
Malays are
better off not voting UMNO. Because the present UMNO is not the old UMNO which
speaks on behalf of the Malays. Since
1987 when the old UMNO was destroyed, the new UMNO is but an extension of the
PM. The office of the PM represents the tyranny and power of the PM’s office.
When old
UMNO ceased to exist because it was declared to be unlawful and illegal, the
leader of the party ceased to coexist too. The whole, which was BN should be
have also been declared illegal and unlawful too since its biggest component
was illegal and unlawful. How can a whole continue to exist and stay alive when
it has stage-4 cancer? How, could BN exist lawfully for that brief time in
1987, when its main component was declared unlawful? It had to take on the same
stature and be unlawful too.
But
Mahathir took advantage of the situation. He refused to revive the old UMNO and
instead made use of BN to appoint him as leader of BN and got appointed as PM. He
was for that brief time persona non
grata- he was not leader of the biggest party commanding the majority support
of members in Parliament. Maybe the legal experts will have to relook as this
sordid episode in our political history brought about by Mahathir. Did BN have
legal status when it convened to appoint party-less Mahathir as BN chairman and
PM?
Since then,
all UMNO presidents who go on to become PM speak on behalf of 3.2 million
members not on behalf of Malays. Mahathir and successive UMNO presidents go on
to make UMNO the spokesman for 3.2 million members. UMNO no longer represents
the voice of the Malay rakyat but a spokesman for the interest of powerful
cliques within its 3 million members.
The BN
people are also better off not voting UMNO. The BN has over 7 million members.
UMNO members are 3.2 million strong. Therefore non UMNO BN members account for
3.8 million. There are more of you and less of them. Malays are not going to
vote for UMNO. If Malays reject UMNO, why should non-Malays support UMNO?
In 2008-
UMNO candidates got only 2 million Malay votes. 3.7 million Malay voters
including 1.2 million UMNO members did not support UMNO candidates. Because
Malays already knew back then, New UMNO speaks on behalf of selected cliques
within UMNO. Malays have already realized there were more of them and less of
Malays in UMNO. The Malays have already learnt to be assertive. Non Malays need
to learn from Malays in this respect. There are more of you and less of UMNO in
BN. you go away, UMNO will die.
Where do
they want to get support from? They can’t even get full support from its 3.2
million members. More Malays are already decided on rejecting UMNO. Non Malay
citizens can’t be less discerning or less clever than Malays in this aspect.
The best thing is for all of you to withdraw support from the UMNO bully and
throw your weight and ride on the crest of the waves.
The next political
tsunami is inevitable. On whose side do you stand?
Dato,
ReplyDeleteNajib's promises made all over the country should run into trillions if I am not mistaken. Every nook and corner he visits is to buy himself (and UMNO) votes; he promises schools, houses, temples and mosques, canals, drainage and what not. Besides these he has awarded cash by the billions and done whatever to buy votes. Where will he get the money for all these besides the usual budgetary expenditures?
On the other hand, his contemporaries in UMNO are planning ways to oust him; by fair means or foul.
Do we trust a man who is not even sure of his party's presidency to keep his promises?
Yet MIC, MCA, PPP and Gerakan choose to stand by UMNO. Will they survive after the next elections?
Dato', the Malays i know will still vote for BN, because the spite, anger and venom thrown by the non-Malays are frightening. The non-Malays seem so vengeful – you wonder how they will treat the Malays once the non-Malays come to power.
ReplyDeleteThe Malays I know on the contrary do not want to vote for umno. They are fed up with the incessant lies, plundering and pillaging of the country's wealth and mismanagement by the umno bn elitist. Most of them are umno members and will vote for the opposition in the upcoming GE. THEY ARE JUST PLAIN FED UP 2nd time around.
DeleteThe majority of rakyat are indeed sidelined in favor of the BNs’ elites & preferred few. If we total all the wealth of all UMNO/BN leaders past and present, with their families, plus the wealth held in trust by their cronies which will run into hundreds of billions, it could well amount to a mammoth wealth than what is currently held by all ordinary Msians combined!
ReplyDeleteAt this moment, in this economic time of recession, most Msians are just scraping by in term of livelihood much less having enough left for saving. (PTPTN, house loan, car loan, credit card, etc are all debts necessary to keep most of us fed and clothed) which mean the majority are net negative in savings and in value (financial wise).
So, in reality, the majority ordinary Msians are poor, when compared to BN leaders who are by comparison very rich, filthy rich with so much money to open overseas saving accounts; enjoying luxurious vacations abroad several times annually; owning huge mansions home & abroad, with numerous servants and fleets of luxury vehicles and of course enough leftover pennies to throw away as "voting incentives" to the poor masses. That alone would be a very compelling evidence of how life under BN is appalling and not even remotely good, much less prosper, as UMNO/ BN would like the rakyat to believe.
We are in fact just like the "slave" caste in ancient Warlord’s kingdom and BN’s elites is the perennial masters and lords. The only difference is that we are too unintelligent to recognize our quandary, held in bondage by debts and in servitude by blind stupid loyalty to BN when compared to those "slaves-proper" in ancient time when at least they know they are slaves. Well, maybe ignorance is ecstasy to the ignorant rakyat.!!!
Salam Dato,
ReplyDeleteKepada seluruh pengundi: Undi Umno bermakna menggalakkan rasuah, Undi Umno bermakna menggalakkan rompak keatas harta rakyat, undi umno bermakna menggalakkan salahguna kuasa, undi umno bermakna negara hancur.

ReplyDeleteI am a non Malay. All that you have said is not in my heart and I believe lots and lots of others feel the same way. Why? Because we now understand the "guilty"ones are not the ordinary Malays.
Believe me, if this country 'perishes'do you think that it will only affect the Malays. You can no longer escape the effects of globalisation because if you look deep enough this is what it is all about and there is no escape. If one is hurt, so will the others.
Anon 1514,
ReplyDeleteThe spite, anger and venom will be thrown by the non-Malays from MCA, Gerakan & MIC. They are the ones who will be vengeful once BN loses power as they have everything to lose being on the opposing side.
The non-Malays from DAP, PKR & those from Sabah & Sarawak will abide by the agreement signed by leaders of Pakatan Rakyat to uphold Malaysian constitution and maintain harmony between different races.
Dato,Najib will win in a popularity contest in Umno or BN hands down. But he is a politician and the president of a dog eat dog party called Umno B,and is already fighting for his political life.
ReplyDeleteNajib says that he is the PM for all Malaysians. But where was he when the katak Abrahim Ali was screaming racial and religious explicits at the Christians,Chinese and other minorities. He was too busy in a popularity contest, and at the same time minding his own business.
When Abrahim Ali was belittling the presidents of the MCA and MIC,who are members of his BN coalition, where was Najib. He was too busy trying to please the right wing of his own party Umno, that he throw them to the hungry wolfs as sacrificial lambs.
If Najib is so helpless that he cannot even lend a hand to support the party presidents of his own coalition, what can he do for Malaysians as a whole. He has nothing to offer to the Malaysian people except "NATO".
How come Najib and Umno/BN ministers did not come out and condemned the attack on opposition party politicians and supporters in ceramahs in towns, cities and felda schemes. And how about the attack on students in places of higher learning and Dataran Merdeka.
ReplyDeleteIs it because they are the ones ordering these attacks.Their silence says so.And where is the PDRM.Must be chasing the whores down the lorongs.Or out chasing the invisible activists,Banglas, Myammars and Parkistanis not registered under the phamtoms.
When you have cancercerous cells(Umnoputras) that is beyond cure, what do the surgeon do.They cut of the cancerous cells of no return, and throw them into the burning boiler.
ReplyDelete'spite, anger and venom thrown by the non-Malays are frightening'.
ReplyDeleteWith decades of bad leadership, gross mismanagement, rampant corruption and etc.....the correct word should be UNDERSTANDABLE, not 'frightening', by ALL Malaysians at the government.
'But where was he when the katak Abrahim Ali was screaming racial and religious explicits at the Christians,Chinese and other minorities'.- bruno
ReplyDeleteYou cannot expect a party/leader who placed race/party first to take care of or be fair to other minorities.
Their political survival come first at all costs.
People are not afraid of a corrupt government.
ReplyDeleteIt is the corrupted government leaders that are afraid of the People.
Anon:15:14 - how they will treat the Malays once the non-Malays come to power.
ReplyDeletePray tell me, if you understand simple arithmetic, how the non-Malays can ever 'come to power' at Putrajaya?
Don't display your ignorance and racism by hiding behind a nonsensical statement.
The separation of races are made by Umno for decades.
ReplyDeleteIt will take years for all to be proud as Malaysians first...and race second.
Look at USA....did anyone say an Afro Negro is elected as President?..and mind you...elected for second term by bigger margin.
Mahathir is a cruel man indeed to keep playing race and religion politics for 22 years.....encouraging corruption...where he himself is known as the most corrupted PM.. to have stolen 200 billion in 22 years.
One son is known as one of the riches man in the world.
Do not let Umno B corrupt your minds. Be proud Malaysians...and if one day...a non Malay is elected as PM ...be it know HE/SHE is a Malaysian and not a Chinese or Indian..this and that.
Malaysians are ready to change the government and we are doing all these..for country and people...not for the personal benefits..or of one race.
Umno Baru leader Najib is never a sincere man...so was Dollah.
The worst of the lot....is none other than Mahathir...who cannot retire nobly because his party..his sons are in grave danger..if Umno Baru is defeated at 13th GE.
Dear Dato SAK,
Cuba fikirkan. Wallahua waalam.

ReplyDeleteWhat was the status quo ante?
Flashback to post May 13th 1969 from discussion by Farish Noor (FN) with NOC (National Operations Council) Secretary Dato Abdul Rahman Hamidon(DARH), Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad (TSAA)and Jason Tan, from 'Off the Edge' - Aug 2009 Issue.
DARH:... when the trouble started we were informed by the security people the situation was more or less out of control. It was very bad...Tun Razak called the military, the police and some of the senior civil servants - Tan Sri Kadir Shamsuddin, Tan Sri Sheikh Abdullah, Tan Sri Samad. The civilians were aided by the legal people such as Tan Sri Salleh Abas and Dato Hashim Yeop...:they were the ones who drafted the blueprint for the NOC; the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency at that time, Harun Hashim, was also there....our friend Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie was there too, he had a big part in it...They wanted to suspend Parliament,...suspend the Cabinet,....ban politics (so they could) run the country on an Emergency basis. And they had decided to appoint a Director of Operations, Tun Razak, who would run the whole country. ….and they were backed by the legal people that time, such as Tan Sri Salleh Abbas. It was he and Hashim(Yeop Sani) who drafted the plan for the NOC. I was there, I saw them. The NOC was plan was drafted in pencil, and there was no secretary. Tan Sri Salleh Abbas was the one who took the document to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong with Tun Razak. The Agong signed the declaration on that piece of paper.
FN: So the blueprint for the NOC, that historical document that effectively suspended Parliament,…and the entire political process for almost three years, was written on a piece of paper with a pencil?
DARH: It was definitely handwritten, because we had no recourse to secretaries, no typists…and they had to do it in a hurry, so it was handwritten. I don’t know where that piece of paper is now. I think Tan Sri Salleh Abbas has it.
FN: And this was the role that Salleh Abbas played at that time? As one of those who drafted NOC blueprint?
DARH: Yes, he and Hashim(Yeop Sani) — they were the brains behind it, on the legal side. The army had given their side of the story, and the police more so — the police thought that Parliament should be suspended, so there should be no politicking; they wanted to run the country, not as an army-run state, and not a dictatorial state either, but we can say, under a state of Emergency rule… There were two things the government introduced then: the first was a law to make the civil servant leave the government for the private sector, with a pension. There also another law whereby the government made it compulsory for civil servants to retire ‘in the public interest’. There were many people who did not work and could not perform but the government could not make them leave. So under this law, which Tun Razak signed, he could just dismiss people.
FN: Were some of these dismissals political in nature?
DARH: No, no, I don’t think so. Because most of the recommendations came from the secretaries-general [of the relevant ministries]. However most of the people who were dismissed were from the POLICE! (my emphasis).
FN: ….As you watched all this lobbying happening, were you worried that the trend might escalate? Tun Ismail, for example, talked about this, the danger of centralising too much power in one person…
DARH: I am telling the truth. Tun Razak never interfered with contracts….Tun Razak would never accept anybody coming to lobby him; everything had to go back to the civil servants. Tenders were managed by the tender boards. If I remember correctly, the tender board only dealt with tender contract up to Rm2 million; the board would recommend to the Treasury which tender to accept. Beyond Rm2 million, no…. And even then the tenders had to be passed by the Minister of Finance. Every tender board in each ministry had a Finance representative….

ReplyDeleteJason Tan: But during that critical period was there any point where there was a risk of a military coup or police takeover?
DARH: Ah, at that time? I don’t think there was. As I have said, the civilians in the NOC headed by Tun Razak and Tun Ismail, were all against it. They were there to see that the army did not interfere very much in the running of the country…. I worked in the Ministry of Defence then, and I just could not see the possibility of the army coming to power, given the military leaders we had….. Later we went [together] and I nearly fainted when I saw the bodies at the hospitals. But the police said that they couldn’t control the situation without the army. And so the decision was made to call the army to assist the police in the early part of the Emergency. The army came in, reluctantly…..
FN: ….are you worried about how this whole period had left a permanent scar in the Malaysian psyche?....about Chin Peng and whether he can ever allowed to return to the country….
DARH: That’s very true. People are still talking about it. Some would like to go back to the NOC period, so that there will be less politicking. Well, it depends. If you give Mahathir a chance to become the Director of Operations, then it’s going to be very different…
TSAA: Dr Mahathir is always opposed to other people, but if it’s him at the helm, it’s okay. (laughter)….
FN: When you look back at how things were so contingent then, do you think it was just a case of sheer luck or fate that saved us from becoming like Philippines under Marcos, or Indonesia under Suharto or, worst still, Uganda under Idi Amin?
DARH: No, no, I don’t think it was luck. I think it was due very much to the maturity of the people who ran the country at that time: the politicians, headed by Tun Razak, Tun Ismail, Tun Tan Siew Sin. These people, compared to what you have now...These people were solid people —you could not bribe them. Tun Razak had only three bush jackets — three. That’s what he used to wear..Now, everyday(sic) is like Bollywood: morning, different shirt, afternoon, different shirt. Tun Razak wore one.
TSAA: I sometimes used to help carry Tun Razak’s bag. Now they have got people to carry minister’s wives’ bags, hairdressers, make-up…
DARH: I’ll tell you about one incident. One day Tun Razak had to make a trip to Kelantan. Tun Rahah had wanted to follow him but ministers could not take their wives with them [on official trips]; the government would not pay for it. So that morning Tun Razak called me and said, ‘ I’m going to Kelantan and Rahah wants to go too but I cannot take her because government won’t pay for this.’ I said to him, Tun, this is the NOC, and I am the controlling officer. I have the right to approve and you are the number one man. You take her, I’ll pay for it and no one will query it. You are the Director of Operartions.’ He said, ‘No, no, no people will talk, people will talk. Rahman, I don’t want people to talk about this.’ In the end, Tun Rahah had to go to Kelantan by herself, by car. And that’s the type of man we had running the country at that time. Let alone now, going overseas and taking their wives and children….(End of discussion).
UMNO and BN politicians should realise by now that even those of us who grew up on a simple diet of budu, jungle produce and some fresh meat once in a while, can differentiate between today’s political dwarfs with the giants of the past.
I will stand on the side of the people who reject UMNO.
ReplyDeleteDato,
ReplyDeleteI hope DAP leaders should concentrate on isu rasuah, integriti.

Harap Dato boleh sound this matter to leadership.

No, they are not trying to scare the Chinese. They are scaring the Malays to "close ranks" under the Umno umbrella. Strange, but true.
What boggles the mind is how come the BN Home Minister and Ibrahim Ali is not throwing the book at these MCA fascists?
Folks, just don't be the dog that is being wagged by the MCA tail. I'm sure the Malay brethren are much smarter than that.

Dear SAK,
ReplyDeleteThe posting by Sumpitan Emas reminds me of one episode in my working life involving the late Tun Razak. It was some time in the 1970's ( I cannot remember the exact year)when Tun Razak was suffering from his disease, which of course was not known to people then. I was one of the National Action Council Executive Committee's Secretariat officers at the Prime Minister's Department (at Jalan Dato Onn, then). There was a NAC Ex-Co meeting chaired by Tun Razak as NAC Director of Operations at the National Operations Room (the NAC Ex-Co met every week). In attendance were other members of the NAC Ex-Co specifically the late Tun Ismail, the late Tan Sri Ghazalie Shafiee and a few others who I cannot recall. Also in attendance were top administrative officers such as the Chief Secretary of the Government the late Tan Sri Kadir Shamsuddin, EPU DG Tan Sri Thong Yaw Hong, ICU DG Tunku Shahriman and GPU DG Tan Sri Rama Iyer.I was one of the officers there taking down the minutes. We did notice that since a few years earlier Tun Razak was getting thinner and thinner , paler and having less hair which was greying tremendously. So there he was sitting on the Chairman's chair listening attentively to a briefing given by the CEO of Bank Rakyat on their business performance and business plan in the context of the New Economic Policy. After the end of the briefing Tun Razak gave his response which until today I can recall very clearly. He said " I am not happy with what you (Bank Rakyat) have done. You know, I will not be sitting on this chair for long. But from what you have briefed me, you have deviated from the original objective of the bank which is to help the rakyat, the ordinary people not people having big businesses. I want you to go back to the basic objectives of the bank". Mind you at that time, I think Tun Razak ( and may be his family members) already knew about his fate, but still he was adamant to ensure that the bank adhere to the principles it was established. I just sigh at the behaviour of our current crop of leaders!

Our two-faced PM never mean what he says and he always have two different versions on the same issue. One version is for the Malay community while the other opposite version is for the other races. One thing I admire about him is that he has the guts to do this and not feel shameful about it. As a result, I'll give him a BIG zero for his integrity. A PM for all Malaysians? Well, I was not born yesterday!

Kalau dibuang buah-buahnya, siapa pemilik baharunya?
Brother, relaks, look at the 'big picture', at least, look at the Auditor-General's report.
